This boy is just so motivated now
Rose is a good lad. I don’t care that he’s mouthed out against the club on occasion. We’re not in a cult. He’s been here a decade now.

He might be thinking he's had a bad game? Why is he looking so pissed off when he's subbed right at the end everytime?

He would've wanted to carry on playing. Probably thought he could have had a goal. Also he's possibly still rueing that balls up he made in the first half when he was clear through and should have laid it off for Son.Why is he looking so pissed off when he's subbed right at the end everytime?

Ronaldo is 35 and still strops when he comes off.

This guy really concerns me in the sense of I think he gets in the way of us building a coherent fluid attacking system.
He’s an anomaly in the modern game in terms of how he fits into a system. Essentially he requires you to build your whole attack around him. He isn’t a number 10. The problem with building your attack around him is he isn’t world class. He’s a very inconsistent young player with serious flaws.
I’m concerned as Mourinho has come in and indulged him. Yes Alli has really come back into form but it doesn’t last. I don’t see how we will become a complete side well balanced in all areas with Alli in our first 11.
It’s why I think we are fucked for the foreseeable future. There seems to be little coherence about how we want to play and who we sign. Alli hasn’t developed how I thought he would and become a goal getting number 8. I strongly suspect that was the type of young player we thought we were getting.
He is now a luxury player who needs to be indulged tactically to get the best out of, otherwise he’s a passenger. I just don’t see us becoming a proper side with this guy in our attack, regardless of his occasional goals and assists. He’s got talent but not enough to justify carving a position out for him in attack.
How does he fit into an attack with two WF, Kane, a number 10, number 8 and a DM.
Play him as a 9 and Kane drops back to a 10 and interchanges? Alli lack of pace makes that problematic and Kane is the best 9 in the world, again we are building our attack around fitting Alli in.
What I have been saying for ages. All the top successful teams play 4-3-3 and Dele does not fit into that formation. Poch was still trying to shoehorn into the side which then left us without balance and doesn't play to Dele's strengths. This guy really concerns me in the sense of I think he gets in the way of us building a coherent fluid attacking system.

I still want to see him on the left of a 3 with an attacking fullback who overlaps whilst dele drifts inside ala Ronaldo/Marcelo at Madrid. He can do the work out wide out of possesion, we've seen him do it. Then we can get somebody who can control a game centrally like a certain argentine who we're going to end up paying a tidy sum for.
How would that work? Alli is nothing like Ronaldo. Also that means putting Son on the right where he is far less effective. Again we are building our attack around a player who doesn’t justify it.
Jose has so many problems to solve. If I was him I’d drop Alli to a squad player and sign a WF. Play Lo Celso as number 10.

I think Son can be pretty effective on the right, I can remember a lot of good moments on the right and a lot of stinkers on the left although it does seem he prefers the left.
The way it would be similar to Ronaldo in that role is it focuses on his strengths. Making runs in behind especially going from left to central and basically being a 2nd striker without any responsibility for creating play through the middle. They used to let Ronaldo basically play off Benzema and focus solely on scoring goals, which is what I think is the best approach with Dele. Im not suggesting he has similar ability purely the approach to get best from Dele.
Id say its worth a go considering Son is suspended anyway and Id drop Moura before I dropped Dele also.
