Well the issue was that I challenged someone who blatantly lied in a post and then I was told I was playing the man not the ball by having a go at his opinion. I rejected that, as for me a lie isn't an opinion and actually the poster actually agreed he'd lied, Anyway they asked me to accept that I understood why I had broken the rules and I declined as I thought any rule that protected someone blatantly lying wasn't a rule that I could accept ,so that was that. Sad in some ways but it had changed a lot over the years and the fun was being eroded by countless rules in the ccc and as much by some peoples interpretations. I was actually told by one mod that a joke I made about German women having to shave their legs was offensive, I mean come on when things get to that stage you have to question if you actually want to be a part of it any more, so in the end it was an easy decision to stay away
Where 's the joke?

The conclusion is that the mods on this site are either too lazy to ban anyone or can't read.

I too am a refugee. I liked the site and the posters but after the suspension for telling people to calm down and stop acting like idiots ( we'd just lost to the Arse) it was the last straw.

Here I post as little or as often as I want without having to worry about meeting my quota.

You can't take a look without joining.

So what you're saying, is that it's just like Scientology?

Always wanted to pop inside the one near Tottenham Court Road just to have a look and see what all the fuss is about, but was afraid I'd never come out the same again.

The forum is closed to non-members. You're not going to see more than , say, equivalent of a front door of Scientology building.

Where 's the joke?

Well it wasn't so much a joke as someone had posted an article or something about the Germans making bestiality illegal and I simply asked the question would that mean that all German women would have to start shaving their legs so as not to cause any confusion

Talk about sense of humour by pass

Gotta wonder how their mods get through a day in the real world...

Going into the toilets at work after some nasty people said somethings they didn't like and sitting clothed on the toilet saying "you're banned. you're on a 2 week ban. you're never allowed on here again" then breaking down when all the same nasty people are still there after he's finished his cry wank.
I actually just burst out laughing :D

COYS is a kind of fascist dictatorship. It is a rules obsessed, anal retentive forum run by Mods who don't live in the real world. There are a large number of posters on there that are all passive aggressive nutters. Some of them report you for the smallest thing. I was banned a number of times. Once it was for using the term 'oil money' as it was deemed a racist term alluding to the fact that oil money was used as a derogatory reference to Arab interests. What was I supposed to call it then? I could not use the term Arab money as that was considered racist too. if I used Saudi Arabian money that had negative racist connotations as well and was also on the banning list.

I wrote back to the Mod and said help me out mate, please. What do I say? Is it alright to say money from fossil fuel dug up and sold by countries placed in the latitude and longtitude of 24.000 degrees north and 45.0000 degrees east? F**k me dead. He banned me for being a nuisance and asking the question too many times! I think I got a lifetime ban or something eventually. I've heard you can get back in after grovelling and basically pleading for mercy like a sissy girl but then they watch you like a hawk and youre out after the slightest misdemeanour.

Its a bizarre place. Love it here in comparison. Most normal site I've ever been on and the best Spurs site on the net even with all the nutters on here! (y)

I quit under similar circumstances. The CCC thing I could more or less cope with, but it was the interpretation and zeal with which some mods implemented it that sucked.

Same here. The CCC I found easy to understand, but there was a certain Ministry of Truth aspect to the moderation which was, frankly, bizarre at times. Getting banned for enquiring after posters who hadn't been seen on the forum for a while seemed especially odd.
