as said, a definitive list of who he wanted was never published but we do know he was after a forward or 2 so what was promised by the boss?We weren't even linked with another striker by media or ITK after Llorente left.

Exactly yet somehow it always seems to be the managers fault when the Transfers are done by Levy. How many seasons do we have to hear that we are signing this player or we are linked with some big name star then nothing? How often do our deals drag on till deadline day then fall through? Way too often to be coincidence (Pretty much every transfer window for quite a few years) and it is about time some of the blame for our failings goes higher up the chain than the manager. Not sure we know who or what position MP was after - just hearsay
MP may have some blame but not all of it
This story confirms one school of thought (which I considered accurate) over the remuneration of Poch and staff following their dismissal.
Levy approaches Pochettino to take cut on £8.5million salary
EXCLUSIVE: In firing Mauricio Pochettino in November as Tottenham boss, chairman Daniel Levy agreed to continue paying the manager's wages until he found a new job.mol.im

Go on then, explain how this is somehow bad PR or bad management in the current climate.
People have spent the last few weeks frothing at the mouth about how the rich directors and multi millionaire players haven't taken a paycut or done anything to help the lower paid staff but asking a manager who no longer works for the club, who was fired months ago and still taking a paycheck to the tune of hundreds of thousands a month while sat on his arse to maybe possibly drop the amount we are giving him is bad PR? Come on.
If Levy doesn't ask the current players, manager and board to take a paycut he is being a dick.Go on then, explain how this is somehow bad PR or bad management in the current climate.

If he asks a former manager still getting paid to take a paycut he is being a dick.
Kind of feels like some have an agenda and their criticisms aren't consistent or logical.
It’s genuinely fucking me off how people are finding EVERY LITTLE excuse to throw shit at Daniel Levy just because they have an agenda against him. Another example of this bullshit is Levy making an INCREDIBLE gesture by turning the stadium into a hospital and the only thanks he gets is fucking morons saying “a bit late now” or “wonder how he’s cashing in on this.” Just shut the fuck up
It makes perfect sense to ask Pochettino to drop a % of the money we’re giving him. I assume we’re paying him under an agreement that he doesn’t join another club this season...under the current climate where football has been shelved, no club will be looking for a new manager. Why should he get given money in this instance?
I’m not saying he’s perfect because my god he isn’t but play the ball, not the man. He’s doing a lot right to protect the club right now.
If the deal was contingent on Poch not going to a rival club this season then he shouldn't feel in any way obliged to take a cut on it now. It's not as though there wouldn't have been clubs lining up for him.
If this request is true and Poch considers making a gesture, though, I would suggest it be along the lines of matching whatever Levy decides to give back of his £7 million bonus.

Naw, cannot stand him. I have spoken.
It is pretty sick and twisted that we have supporters who hate our board so much that they’d stoop to diluting this global crisis to grind their a against Levy and Enic.
And there was your mistake. Don’t do it again ?
