14 goals in 32 premier league games last season. For Burnley. That is almost a goal every other game playing for a weak team who do not create much (the only scored 43 goals in 38 games, that is just 1.1 goals per game). Plus he is 6'2 and a proper handful who will give Son, Bergwijn, Dele and Moura a platform. Great Kane understudy for me!

Depending upon Jose's requirements either wood or King would be good. But Wood's goal return is excellent and is home grown.

Two massive issues with this potential signing that says everything that’s wrong with our scouting department:

1) he plays in goal
2) he’s fucking ancient

Majority of these goals last season are headers, do we even cross the ball like this?

Lots from corners though.

I think King is a better fit for us, but Wood would be a good option as well.

I'd be happy with either, but King would be my preference.

I'd be really happy with this. I think it's easy to look at him in the Burnley side and label him as just a bit of a 'Burnley bully' type player but even at Leeds before he looked to have something about him. Having him would mean we can still play the way that we would if Kane was there, we wouldn't have to change our approach to suit Lucas or Son being the front man.

Is strong, can bring others into play and knows where the back of the net is. Despite what some may think of him, having him as backup is a massive improvement to how we currently stand.

Chris Wood is represented by Base Soccer Agency, who I believe have represented quite a few Spurs players over the years.

Also @Rob - the thread title is 'Chris Woods', not 'Chris Wood'. Soz for being a pedant.

Im struggling to get excited by any of those three. Being back up to Kane requires to have a player that is super strong mentally, that can come in and perform straight off the bat. Our scouts will have to work out which is the best psychologically as all three of those ability wise are pretty similar. I don’t think there is that much between them.

Wood played a game as a LW in the 2011-12 season. Who said he isn't versatile?

I would sell lamela and buy both chris wood and josh king ... They would both improve our squad depth and attack massively ... Both are very very good all round footballer and massively underrated .. I always saw king as a better all round footballer than Lamela ...

Bergwjin, son, king, moura as wing/forward role and kane/wood for striker role would make our attack more flexible and well rounded ...

Could you provide details of your psychological analysis of each of them?

He would be a proper "plan b" thats for sure. Someone to occupy the defence and let Kane operate in the space.
