Taking your point though, I suppose I would say that notwithstanding all of the other things that Milik offers compared to Wood (my opinion) he still scores the same amount of goals. I think Milik would be a much better fit and is a better player overall. Really hope we sign him.

What I’m saying is that with how much better he is at playing football than Wood according to you I would think he’d score more goals. Basically you’re saying Milik is better at literally everything it’s just Wood is taller. I’m just surprised that it doesn’t translate to putting the ball in the net.

Especially in a league where Ciro Immobile bangs them in for fun.

It may well do. Does it? And I suppose it depends on which stats are looked at. However, as far as analysing the stats go, I have neither the time or the inclination to do so. Im not really a huge fan, prefer to just watch the match and make my own judgement. There are so many things that stats will not pick up.

agree, goals aren’t scored in isolation either, you take a player out of one club doesn’t mean he will replicate those numbers at another. Just of the top of my head I’m sure Bent had a better strike rate than Berbatov before they both came here yet actually watching them the difference in quality and how they effect how the team play as a unit should be plain as day.

Torres was a strange one, great goal scorer and a sound all round game so hard to predict that one but yes just going by stats/goals scored he was a sure thing.
