Who is? Jack Grealish? I'm guessing you never saw Gazza play...

You need to read my post properly. Little hint for you. My words were closest.

I was privileged to see Gazza play live in over 100 games both at home and away so I am more than qualified to voice my view on the similarities. And you?

Long range shots aside he’s Villa’s version of Glyfi Sigurdsson. His teams best player but lacks the added piece of magic to flourish in a team full of stars.

He's far far better than he's being given credit for. Was unreal last night

He’s nowhere near that good. I like him, but he’s a very unique player who might not fit that well into a system. Everything Villa do goes through him, it won’t be like that at whichever club he joins next.

I suspect that’s why Southgate has overlooked him so far.

My comments were the closest. I cannot think of any current English player that has similar skills to Grealish and mirror those of the great Gazza. Gazza was a worldy and sadly Grealish is not. But he is the closest England have and I think he would be brilliant for Spurs.

Hopefully Bruno has been keeping up to date and decided he doesn't want to join a club where their fans stick on balaclavas and fire flares into the chairman's house whilst chanting 'you're gonna die'. (although I'm well aware we have our fair share of moronic fans).

Looks a good player. Let united have him. We can't sign all the best midfielders, it'll make the league boring :)

Very annoying that I’m going to have to go through all of my tweets and delete all of those saying how great he is

He will be a good signing for Utd but honestly I'm not bothered that we arent in for him. I don't think we need him.

Agreed

I think he'll be a good signing for Utd, which is a shame. In an ideal world, I'd have gone for him. But we HAVE to consider where we'll get the biggest bang for our buck.

For me, we are in much greater need of a DM, a defender and a fast winger (Schteve, especially for that money, makes a lot of sense).

If spending 60m on him would stop us buying the others, at any point, it wouldn't make sense. Not when you consider that his position in the team would come at the cost of some of our better players. I would seem him competing in the side with GLC and Ndombele in CM, and they're two of our better players.

If this is indeed the case then it shows how fucking diabolical the current crop of English players are. I grew up watching and idolising gazza...... Grealish, whilst a promising player is not on the same planet in terms of style, ability, intelligence or any number of other things.

Looks exactly the type of player they need tbf. I rate him but I always struggled to see quite where he'd fit in at Spurs, whereas Utd are absolutely crying out for a player like him and he'll be first on their teamsheet every game. Also, unlike Utd, we can't afford to spend 80m on an attacking midfielder when we already have Son, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Lucas, Lamela and Alli competing for places. We'd be far better served spending that on a proper DM, a new RB and a backup for Kane.

They've spaffed a lot of money up the wall since Fergie left - the Maguire transfer still utterly boggles the mind - but I think they might've actually got it right this time (though in classic Utd fashion appear to have paid the highest fee possible to get it done).

Intelligence?
