Has he been that good?? I've saw a few of his early appearances and he looked competent, but not God's gift like some of you are claiming. Has he really been that good.

Certainly made a good start. Time will tell I guess.

When I have seen him play he looks like he wants to make a difference and does. He has started very well for them and looks like a missed opportunity for us.

United have a lot of journalists that gob up everything they say and are very willing to publish their PR memos almost without question. That being said, as a team, United have had a pretty strong defensive unit the entire year. Putting a competent attacking midfielder in the spot where they've recently played Lingard, Andreas Pereira or Mata is bound to make some sort of difference.

We spent big money in the summer on Lo Celso and Ndombele. Another primarily attacking midfielder for big money wasn't our biggest priority. Also we shouldn't be arrogant or deluded enough to think players will choose us over Utd.

And we're back to just making stuff up to attack Levy.
I get what you saying and I know its hindsight but he looks the best out of the three and I think him and Lo Celso in midfield would be incredible.

Again maybe I'm passing judgement on Bruno and NDombele because of where both clubs seem to be playing this season.

As to the choice over us and Utd I thought he was all for joining us? Pretty sure there were some quotes on this and ITKs saying he was up for it.

In my opinion he has been quality, scoring assisting and linking the play. He looks hungry and fit, and dont mean hungry in the same way as Ndombele?

He just has that touch of class, that scoop ball through to Martial for Utds opening goal was sublime.

In the summer we seemed the most interested and there were stories that he was interested. No real known interest from Utd at the time.

There are, like always, conflicting reports as to why we didn’t buy him and people will generally believe whatever fits their general view.

Ndombele was seen as a very big signing in the summer, seems unfair of us to write him off in his first season or start saying we should have bought someone else.

But in January Utd were interested and it’s not unfair to think he would rather go there.

Been quite good so far, but also can’t
underestimate the free role he gets to play.

If our best player (GLC) isn’t getting stuck in in central midfield, we’re getting run over like a hot knife through butter. Doesn’t leave him too much freedom/energy to create (and we don’t have any goal scorers even if he does)

say what you want about United, they have some solidity at the back and in central midfield that gives them a nice base to operate from.

excited for us to play them this wknd when they are 6 days fresh and we have had 3 days rest with a team that can barely put 11 healthy players on the pitch even if 5 of them are CBs.

We will have 2 more days rest than them, they're playing in Austria on Thursday, prob weakened team though.

I love Lo Celso but always felt we missed a trick by not pushing for BF too. On paper they might seem similar but they're very different players and I always had the feeling BF had that special something about him. I think he could be a bit like Suarez was for Liverpool - a player a lot of people doubted would be able to replicate their form from a lower league who went on to become an absolutely pivotal, team defining player.

That said, even with them both we'd still probably be fucked now given the state of the rest of the team.

Yes. He's playing like one of the best midfielders in world football.
