Right. The profile of our players just doesn't suit the negative, safety first approach. We always look better trying to go forward and take the game to the opponent.

City are the one exception to this, for obvious reasons.

Well I'm just wondering how you look at Sarr and Bissouma and go, nah not for me. Maybe I'm overcomplicating it but makes me feel like it was about trying to show we need reinforcements.

I’ve been impressed with Hojbjerg’s role so far. He’s a calming head when we need it, same with Davies. I think we need to keep these guys. It could be important.

Very impressive! We’d have thrown that away under previous managers, but Ange made the right subs at the right time.

It’s a squad game, contrary to what Conte would have you believe.

Feels like some of Conte's decisions were to prove a point of some kind.

We've had different types of test in all three games so far. This one was a really physical one, and they got on top for 10 minutes after half time and I really thought the Bournemouth goal was inevitable. But we dug in and they started to run out of steam.

All our subs came on and raised the level of the team and we got back the initiative.

Really good win that. Hopefully not too many knocks, but we know players like Skipp, Perisic, Davies and GLC can slot straight in for Fulham.

No overreaction. He was terrible.
Thought he was unlucky with that first chance

He scores that and his whole game changed as confidence comes flooding in.

He then gradually got worse and started to do simple things poorly. You could see every poor action was getting into his head.

I do draw the line at his last giveaway though. You can't weakly give the ball up and then just stop and sulk.

That is what lost Ange's patience too.

I wouldnt write him off yet. Goals change players and 1 or 2 and he could get back to his level, which whilst it is not 'elite' is still good.

But he has to stop letting poor actions get into his head.

The club should back itself in the transfer market to find the right players to finish off what is becoming an excellent squad. 10 of the 11 starters today were brought in over the last 2 years, including the entire back 5 that looks transformative.

Another promising performance. Great start to the season. Udogie, Sarr, Maddison and Van De Ven all look like phenomenal signings.

I hope Paratici can ‘consult’ us with a couple more signings. He definitely has an eye. Udogie, Sarr, Bissouma going to be great in this system. I think Deki will come good again too, and can’t wait for Bentancur to come back in, he will take us up another level. We’re a confident ruthless CF away from killing these games off a lot quicker. Another CB to give us the same depth as we’re starting to show in midfield, and hopefully another RW to give us some go forward.

Gio is no Maddison thats for sure. If he's fine being a substitute then so be it.

I’m ok with that. If he’s settled, I think with more minutes he’ll excel in this system and possible close the gap with Maddison so we see less of a drop off. Also think there’ll be some games they can play together.

Bissouma looking more like a 100 mil player than the ones that went for that price. How Conte did not utilise him is crazy!

VDV, Udougie & Madders are all class. What signings!

I think Son has to play in the middle going forward though. Gives us so much more.

Calm experienced pros like Hojberg, Davies and Perisic coming on shut down anything Bournemouth had. They may not be starters this season but maybe more key than ever before.

Our subs actually impacted the game. Which was so nice to see

A very mature performance and only the third game in as well. Maddison was pulling the strings and again linked up so well with Sonny. The link up play between Sarr and Biss brilliant again, always looking for a forward pass, dropping the shoulder and playing with freedom.

Richie again frustrating and with himself too: I’m sure it will come.

The defence as well solid and refreshing, also a reminder that they’re all in the early 20s. VDV so good today, Romero looks revitalised, Porro brilliant and Udogie (hope his injury isn’t too serious) for me is a jewel.

I hope we keep hold of Lo Celso as there is definitely something that will emerge once he gets more minutes. Perisic as well looks far more comfortable in Ange’s system. So many positives and overall you can see that the players look far more happier.

I really feel for Richy. He is working so hard, getting into positions and it just isn't going his way in front of goal. Desperate for him to bag a goal asap.

But I have to say Ange did the right thing and brought him off so quickly after the stumble and poor pass. Ange's subs were spot on and he reacts quickly, which is wonderful to see.

Lots and lots of positives. Vicario an dtge defence were comfortable in possession and getting out of tight areas with such ease has really impressed me.

Son no goal but I thought he played well so hopefully like Richy that goal comes soon.

Great result. Thought Bournemouth made it tough, which makes it sweeter.

Perfect timing of the subs from Ange, we really needed it at that point, Richy looked on the verge of going and Bournemouth were having a good spell. And pleased Kulu managed to get his goal, desperate for one of the front three to get on the score sheet....COYS!

Agree with this, same reason I like Perisic staying in the squad & coming on 2nd half. We've quickly become a young team, they're going to get us in winning positions, bringing on some more experienced players to see it out will be vital

He did not do anything spectacular today - but Romero looks like he has really settled into a leadership role in the club. Love what what he is bringing to the games.

I'd imagine it was more of a case of "I didn't want these players, so I won't be using them." Too stubborn to see the woods for the trees, a shame as we really wasted Kane's last season because of it.
