I don't see a player rating thread -but I am giving my vote to Sessegnon. His goal shocked some confidence into the team, and everyone seemed to pick up the intensity level. Bentancur coming in certainly provided the stability and drive, but Sessegnon was the spark.

There is a link to the thread at the top of this one.

I burst out laughing when Sanchez gave the hands facing down, stay calm action, like, “I got this”, immediately after nearly bumbling an OG ?

Tactical switch. Bissouma could have been taken off instead of Skipp in my opinion. But we need more attacking players for the second half. I am not sure what Conte is thinking with that stupid starting line-up.
He was prioritising the CL game in midweek. At some point he has to rest players. People in this very thread have been calling for 'rotation' for a while now. If they have any sense, they'll stop that now (they don't, so they won't) because we have at least four players that we need to improve on and definitely two or three within the next two transfer windows. We simply haven't got that kind of squad yet. I'm willing to give a few of them a chance on the assumption that being surrounded by much better players will improve their performances too.

Today told us nothing we didn't already know, the squad needs a lot of work doing to it. We know this and it'd be nice if some of the people around here started to acknowledge it and then translate that into a bit of balance instead of what we saw today with comments such as excrement, ****s and spastics (I kid you not). That's what passes for support these days.

I disagree. Players around the world have played the day after one of their parents have died and put in performances, and dedicate it to them.

We have been playing shit until subs come on since the beginning of the season.

Need to stop using their coach passing as an excuse. It's disrespectful.

I didn't mention anything about the performance. My post was a response to someone replying about Conte's body language.

However what I find disrespectful is you thinking everyone should just be ok. Not everyone deals with grief straight away. You have absolutely no idea how the players and coaches feel. Let them take as long as they need.

I work with someone who, nine months after their mother's death, still isn't back at work as they are struggling so badly.

I do think we have been performing worse since the death of Ventrone. It might be a factor, it might not be.

IMHO Conte does not trust most of the non playing squad.

yet he still needs to rest / rotate the 1st 11.

He wants to qualify Vs Marseille he was trying to keep us fresh

Minus Kulu / Rich and fatigue to Dier and Romero for example.

Anyone that seriously thinks he cant see Sanchez / Royale's shortcomings is greatly mistaken.

AC has proved himself to be world class in the creation ofCbs & Wbs

it means he knows the difference between good and poor

He deserves the time to haul us over the line to the next windows and beyond

Strangely didn’t enjoy the match finally. The ref was very poor and spoilt the game for me. He was, allowing BFC players to get away with all sorts with some serious stuff at the end which infuriated me. Calming now and result sinking in. Totally deserved win. Ref needs to answer to the chaotic ending.

I agree with this. How bad is Spence if he can’t get a look in past Emerson though?
