I thought we started really well. How more some of you want TBH? The poor defenders we have was a fault of nobody's but them. And Skipp was unfortunately not playing in the right position. If we are to play with these players clearly the formation needs some sorting. But if we have started the team that ended the game, we probably wouldn't be 2-0 down.
Yes but he was obviously trying to save some of them for Tuesday . Some tired looking players in our team. Got away with it but only because it’s Bournemouth who will no doubt be relegated.
A comeback like that will do the world of good.

Poor, slow, passive, paltry first half, second half so much better. Quicker, more direct, looked dangerous, looked like we actually wanted to score. Deserved to win and a fantastic comeback from two down. Commentator said something about Bournemouth not losing in 30+ games when they had scored first.

Bentancur is really on course to be our PotS, even if its only the start of Nov. Huge game against Marseille incoming, we win there, sets us up for potential incomings in January. We can pick up a bit of momentum as well and try and get a huge win against Liverpool, who always seem to whip us up real good. Rodrigo Bentancur can have it off with my girl whenever he wants. x

Deserves another contract, shouldn’t be a starter for us if we want to actually progress though. Good player, not world or even top class though and that’s unfortunately what you need to pack your 11 with to compete to win things
Disagree, we can definitely progress with him in the team, far more pressing issues to solve around him first which would also hopefully reduce some of the shitload of work he has to do every week.

I hope that Deki and Richie are back soon and we can get to the January window still in 3rd and qualified for CL knock outs.

Then January and Summer 2023;

Sanchez
Emerson
Loris (age)
Lucas (age)
Doherty
Gil
Perisic (age)
Dier
Davies (despite the goal today)
Sessegnon (despite his goal today)

ALL need upgrading - preferably in the order listed - there is NO room for sentiment - that's why we struggle too often because we are willing to settle with regards to certain players because of what they have done in the past or because they have 'improved' under Conte or had a few good games or are still young and might come good.

Let's face it Bournemouth will be battling relegation and we needed a 89th minute winner - yes we battered them for the last 40 minutes - but the keeper did not have to pull out too many world class saves.

No they were created down our left but the goals were scored from our right. Emerson and Sanchez were poor for both goals. Emerson caught upfield and Sanchez came central to leave Moore all alone at the back post for the 1st, then Sanchez loses the flight of the cross and Emerson not strong enough marking Moore for the 2nd.
Lol. Blaming Royale for those goals is taking the hate to ridiculous levels. First goal he was high and wide as is his job as an attacking RWB - he was never going to get back and it's ridiculous to suggets he should have.

And just how many RB's do you expect o beat Kieffer Moore for strength and height? Lol

Anyway - for anyone not blindly dogpiling Emerson - it is a concern that we are getting roasted consistently down that left hand side. When teams break on us there they get little or no resistance. It's a concern.

Thought Dier at RCB worked well, actually. Provides a solution for not relying on Davinson when Romero is out. Lenglet I liked in the center though Moore at times bullied him. Moore is an outlier for CFs in the Prem these days, most won’t play like that. So a Dier Lenglet Davies combo looks good.

Sessegnon at RWB was a huge improvement on excrement. I hope we see more of that (or Spence).

Bentancur was the best player on the pitch when he came on. Calm for the goal and there was a sequence in the midfield where he megged one player and shimmied away from another two before playing a lovely crossfield pass.
That alone was worth the price of admission (or an IPTV sub as the case maybe :cautious: )

Then we will have 10 players that or not ready.

What hate? I've defended Emerson plenty in the past, just because I think he should do better for the goals don't accuse me of hate. He has to put more pressure on Moore there for the 2nd goal when he's goalside. He doesn't have to win the ball but has to be stronger to stop him getting a great head on it. The 1st goal someone has to pick him up far post simple as, probably more for Sanchez with Emerson upfield but as a wing back you still have a responsibility to not get too high too soon. We defended poorly down the left too but still should defend the goals better on that right side.

Even if it was disallowed rightly or wrongly, that's now two last minute winners in a week. There's that never say die attitude I saw Conte and the players have last season.
