This is perhaps the most boring game i've watched in a while - two ties, no goals, gone to extra time.

I feel sorry for Sheffield Utd, this means they're stuck in Middlesbrough even longer than they had to be poor guys.

Alan Hansen just made a funny though - when Gary asked him who his money was on for extra time, he said "The news" :lol:

This really is football at it's dullest - the few fans that were still there by the end of 90 minutes are now all leaving as well. Can't say i blame them, it might be a cup game but if my team was this poor i wouldn't care if they went through either :|

I did only see the last 40 or so minutes, but that Tuncay looked shit. Every time I have seen him he looked shit. Everyone showered him with praise after that one volley he scored. And what's the deal with Rochemback? I have seen him play hundreds of times, in those games I think he has made 4 successful passes, and had 2 shots on target. CRAP!

Downing didn't look too sharp either.

I actually forgot it was on, let the missus watch 'Masterchef', and then watched 'Torchwood'. I then did the washing-up before switching over to BBC1 for the news.

Seems like I got a good deal.

From extra time, I hope those who were saying we should have signed Tuncay now realise the error of their ways. Mido did what he could (and actually showed some pretty nifty touches), as did Downing and Johnson, but it really was a pretty dire showing against determined but strictly limited opposition.

Yes, Downing must be regretting signing that new contract. I don't know whether or not there was any truth in the stories that we were bidding for him, but I think he's a player Juande could have done a lot with.

I watched this game for 2 minute but then common sense prevailed and I switched over to Barca - Valencia.
