Jesus, I know we were poor today but I think every single thread I've looked at so far has been doom and gloom.

Cheer up guys, there's a long way to go as yet.

i agree that there is a long way to go, but if the second half of the season is the same as the first, we will be relegated

I've been thinking this way for a few weeks now. I didn't mind at first as we needed the points. But thus far we haven't started to get forward and threaten to score all season, compared to previous years gone by. Its not the Tottenham way at all. We had more attacking players on the bench then in the first team today. We dont have enough good passers of the ball. I agree about Dawson, he can defend well enough as a backup defender, but i cant stand him hoofing the ball every time.

I've seriously been thinking that we need to sell Dawson, Jenas and Zokora and replace them with players who can keep the ball moving. Spurs are at their best when they zip the ball about 1-2 touch football. We seem to play too much in front of teams though and dont spread the ball about quick enough.

Its boring boring Tottenham at the moment i'm afraid. Without Keane and Berbatov dropping off and making things happen we look so poor in the opposition half. A midfield of O'Hara, Modric, Huddlestone and Lennon is probably the best we have. We could really do with someone like Inler and a wide left midfielder for when we need more width on the left (O'Hara doesn't play wide enough.) Maybe Giovani could come back in aswell. But its all very dull in midfield at the moment.

Unfortunately i think we'll have to wait until the summer before we can sign some good quality players though.

It was a bad game of football. Very bad. And yes, more than a little boring. I actually picked up my David Baldacci novel midway through the second half. I've never done that before. Although, to be fair, Annabelle, Alex and Paddy were about to get blown up in Jerry Bagger's SUV.
