Jol took us some of the way but he fell short, I am not saying he was a bad manager but he made a terrible mistake in letting the players get in such bad shape.

If you look at how the players are conditioned now (trust me I know) it make the frying dutchman look very amateurish.

Ramos has our bases covered.

You're the team fluffer..?

For me the biggest blunders of the season were

1. not getting in any decent midfielders, as just about every Spurs fan on the planet knew our midfield was miles off the standard of the top 4;

2. Not preparing for the season properly, i.e. playing mickey mouse friendly cups and being generally out of shape resulting in us starting the season miles behind the pace of the other teams;

3. Talking ourselves up so much that we couldn't ever live up to it and has had everyone else laughing at us.

Fortunately I expect all of these to be very different next season.

Personally I thought that was a rather astute spot myself...

Anyway, to the topic in hand...

The treatment of Jol was a disgrace. Yes, he had run his course but there was really no need for the attempted personality destruction that went on...

On the pitch...

Berbatov has made me cry by missing a number of sitters this season (first to my mind are the numerous piss easy chances he had against Arsenal at the Lane).

Letting Chimbo take a penalty against PSV. I said to my mate at the time: "He's going to miss this on purpose. He's pissed off at his relegation from the team and this will be his revenge." Or something...

Letting Lennon out at night...

Not slapping Robbo in the face and telling him to sort it out...

It's been one of those seasons, I could easily go on.

biggest on field fuck up JJ's penalty against PSV... possibly the last pen to win a game.. bang it down the middle as hard s you can, no keeper will ever stay routed to the spot for the last pen of a game !

But saying that you've got to have the balls to step up... Pascal before Lennn or Steed, whats that all about ?

I am fully paid member of the JJ fan club, so yes I am biased, but I think it's ridiculously harsh to blame JJ for that pen, he was clearly not fit, and probably shouldn't have even been on the field- so it may well be he didn't even have the strength/energy/ability to belt the ball

plus JJ rarely whacks the ball hard anyway even when fit

I've already said it's Gilberto for me as 'Mr Blunder' of the year v PSV - but it's all about opinions of course - but blaming JJ is harsh

well lennon cant shoot sooo, but if players cant take the pressure of a pen then they shouldnt take it so if steed dropped off, ok if he was gona miss it anyway

Well, well, well. 27 posts I have just had to move out of this thread. If there are anymore off topics post the padlock will come out and another reasonably good thread dies.

Too the people involved, your card is marked and if I notice any further posts like this in other Spurs Chat threads I will infract you and if that means you get banned so be it.

You have been warned. :-(
