Not sure if its my age, or another case of the media trying to brainwash me, but this constant commentary from the BBC about this being the 'Best World Cup ever' is getting tiring.
Most of the games since the group stages have been incredibly 'cagey' affairs, nothing like Spain in '82 or Mexico in '86, and the majority have either been decided by a single goal or a penalty shoot-out!
Brazil are exciting to watch, mainly due to the atmosphere and emotion of the players, but aside from the odd spectacular goal, i havent seen an outstanding individual or team performance thus far in the knock-out stages.
IS it just me?
