The comments like: "Bentley is light years ahead of Lennon" etc what are you basing these observations on? His game for England, or have you consistently watched Blackburn this season?

Bentley's form may be better than Lennons atm, or maybe this season. But to say that he is light years ahead of Lennon is a be far fetched.

Bentley would cost to much (imo £12million+) and I cannot see Villa leaving the 4th biggest club in Spain for Tottenham.

I agree in general (Keano/Berbs/Villa--that's FM not reality surely!), but it is worth noting that Valencia are currently in the process of imploding. They are sitting tenth in the table and have not won any matches in their last 6; and they are not showing signs of improving...

I don't know the ins and outs of what is going on at Valencia. But I've read that there are problems with the players' and Koeman, and with Valencia in 10th like you said, surely the manager will be first to go?

Bentley supprisingly is a Spurs fan, and a great winger so I would love him at this club......but were do we put lennon...On the Left!?

Haha u lot make me laugh! Dave is a mate of mine same year, same school and we still speak once or twice a week. His NOT a spurs fan. Growin up he never supported any one team he had idols such as gazza and waddle. And he doesnt WANT join spurs but said if blackburn wanted to sell him he would come down.

From what I understand, and I don't have any inside sources or anything--just what I read, the problems go a bit deeper than Koeman, things have not been right in the front office for some time; that is to say that the club itself is imploding, in-fighting amongst the board and management staff in particular. If things don't improve in terms of the organization/front office, then I have a feeling a couple of players might be looking to move. So we might have a chance at a couple of their players, but I doubt we will see Villa at the Lane--there are other more likely targets.

My guess is that Koeman will see out the season, after that the odds are against him--judging from Valencia's past.

First of all i don't think we are in desperate need in any position.

We have good squad players in every position but actual top quality at this moment (Lennon can be but isn't yet imo) we don't have many. Woodgate, a fit King, Keane and Berbatov are the only true top players we have.

Bentley as someone else said is the future of the right side of midfield for England. His delivery is something none of our current midfielders have (unless we include Bale as a midfielder). I've seen him play centrally a few times for Blackburn this season and view him as a step up from Jenas and also a step up from Lennon. Villa I know nothing about him other than reputation. Sounds like a top quality striker and any player of that pedigree would be a very welcome addition to the Lane.

No idea how realistic they are but Bentley comes across as a very ambitious player who more importantly wants first team football which the current "top four" wouldn't be able to offer him so he is a possibility as Blackburn are unlikely to reach much higher than they currently are.

Fucking hell. Is everyone still banging on about Bentley? It will be a further step backwards than re-signing Andy Booth to replace Berbatov if we sign Bentley.

Well if you are being sincere talk some sense into him and tell him it's all about Spurs.

Bentley has just signed a new contract and Villa is far too good. Won't get either stop talking about it.
