Doesn't surprise me sadly, he didn't look too good at the end of the game on Monday.

Time for Gio or Bentley to step up.

Either that Modric or Kranjcar on the right, 'tother one on the left. Maybe even JJ at a push.

Thankfully, we have strength in depth, though we will miss Azza.

Bentley can fuck off. I'd like to see Gio given a chance, firstly against Peterboro, but JJ can play there, worst case put Keane there!

kranjcar on the right with gio an impact sub for pace please.

as for the liverpool game, us losing lennon and them losing johnson puts us in a stronger position IMO

I agree. Him and Modric on oppostion flanks. Assuming this is true of course.

Disagree with this though. Lennon is probably our most in form player, and Johnson isn't playing well atm and hasn't been all season. I reckon it's advantage Liverpool in the injury stakes

Ever heard what Doctor Johnson said about a dog walking on its hind legs?

"Sir, a woman's preaching is like a dog's walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all."

Know what you mean about Bentley, the guy's had several chances to step up to the plate and, well, hasn't. Nevertheless, he's the obvious choice, although I'd like us to take a whirl on Gio. JJ is, however, the safe bet.

Has anyone ever seen Kranjcar on the right?

Folks, this isn't going to derail us.

disapointing to hear. I think Lennon would have been the beating of Liverpool next week. Fingers crossed, time for the others to step up and prove their worth.

I'm surprised Lennon isn't injured more often. It beggars belief how many times he is hauled down by the opposition and a yellow card isn't shown. I know early in games the referee is less strict but I feel that teams use this to their advantage and get some wayward or blatant professional fouls in on him. Were he a United player I'm sure he'd get more protection from referees.

Lennon can be replaced by a player that can create as much as he did. Not sure liverpool can replace johnson with someone that can be such a threat to us. They dont have back-up players as good as our is sort of what I meant.

We've got plenty of options, although none of them have the ability to terrify defenders in the same fashion as Lennon... Plus only Fabregas has more assists than Lennon this season...

If this is true i would want Kranjcar on the right with Hutton behind him to provide the pace. I rate Hutton. Although he hasnt shown much for us, he was a very good player and I reckon with a run of games he will regain that form.

Its probably true that they can't replace Johnson the way we can replace azza, BUT, eve when he isn't seeming to have a big impact on the game, him just being on the pitch forces teams to defend deeper than they would without him. As good as Niko is, teams will be able to push up on him knowing he won't get in behind.

Big blow if true, but its questionable whether they would know the extent of the injury by now and also suspicious that only the current bun have picked up on it!

Strength in depth is what its all about, agree with all said, although I'm not sure about keane there due to his lack of pace. Nice that we have choice in 3 options Niko Gio n JJ, unlike a few seasons ago.

We all know how devastating lennon would be for England at the world cup, so how come he doesn't get more protection? Some of the kicks he's taken have been brutal on his wee talented legs. I think the reason why not more is done is because being an honest Joe he doesn't con the ref and get over dramatical. He just nurses his wound adjusts his shinpad and gets up. Flair players at cheatsea arse n utd make a meal of it and thus get more protection.Harry should be pointing this out at ref and managers meetings to address the issue. Otherwise lennon will have no choice but to follow suit.
