Perhaps it has something to with the fact that (end product aside for a minute) Grealish really seems to have mental courage and wants to make things happen. Some of our players still seem to be going through the motions - and Poch left awhile ago.
What's that got to do with the two midfielders we bought that offer the same creativity? Some of you just want to keep buying for the sake of it. Fucking fantasy football with a mesh of Fifa and bit of FM thrown in. It's fucking delusional.

He was the same in the Championship and no one else was interested apart from us at the time, and even then, half of the bright sparks on here weren't keen until it became clear we weren't close to any other transfer that window did he become 'must buy'. People are more bothered by style and the next big thing ...

The pant wetting over Grealish when we've spent the best part on two players with equal creativity for the best part of 90 - 100 million quid .... Fucking hell.
Grealish 9 goals, 8 assists in all competitions this season. Dele, Ndombele & Lo Celso have 12 goals, 8 assists between the three of them. Would be excellent business to move out Lucas/Lamela and bring in Grealish.

We need better depth if we want to compete consistently. But unfortunately we'll likely have too many other holes to fill in the Summer to do this.

Let's be honest, 6-3 would of been about right.

We deserved all three points but poor finishing nearly cost us big time.

I thought Steve was very good.

Our defending is still a massive worry. Will have to improve massively for Saturday.

Be good business if ndombele remembered he has to act like a professional footballer and get on the pitch. Grealish will end up with who ever is going to fork out the 40 - 60 it'll cost to buy him, that counts us out.

Who would have thought when we got Mourinho in that we'd be poor at the back but exciting going forward?

Another chaotic, ridiculous game of football today.

Completely agree, I just think he's a really good player and would love to have him at Spurs.

I don't think he was great to be honest. He's a decent technical player but one paced and today was often just looking to hit the deck rather than play any football. In a better team he might flourish when it's not all on his shoulders, but ultimately today he was up against Aurier and Alderweireld playing really badly and giving him free run of proceedings and he ultimately came up with very little to punish that.
He ain't a speedster, but he used his smarts on the turn to leave our defenders exposed a few times, and showed enough pace to worry us in those situations. He reads the game well, exploits spaces and defensive vulnerabilities. Think the only reason he couldn't punish us was because of the players around him.

Don't know about the overhype stuff, but he's definitely developed his game. I was impressed. Reminds me of a stronger, more durable and likeable Jack Wilshire!

It was so obvious what he was doing. Was explaining to my wife that I just dont respect that kind of play. It works for him though as people just start to stand off him because they know he is going to hit the deck the moment they breathe on him.
I'm gonna catch a lot of heat for saying this I imagine, but isn't that how Kane plays and we applaud it as great hold up play? He constantly tries to get himself between the ball to get the opposition to foul him. If anything Kane could learn from Grealish as Kane telegraphs it too much in the box.

I would have glady agree with you if we had played super well four months ago and beyond. Fact was we played just as shit then. The only difference is we are getting the much needed points now.

For a manager who has just arrived three months ago, what is happening now can only be positive mostly, IMHO. Anything else is over-expectation and unrealistic, or to some extend, biasness, I truthfully feel.
If a Klopp or a Guardiola (or a number of younger, more radical managers we could list) had replaced Poch, you would have seen something more by now in terms of how they wanted us to play. It may have been a very incomplete jigsaw puzzle, with just as many mistakes (if not more) but I believe we would be seeing more green shoots by now.

We can complain about how poor we look defensively at time, we can mock the standard of the opposition or our forward’s decision making, but at the end of the day we’ve created a shed load of chances and deservedly won another away game that keeps us in the race for top CL. It’s a good day at the office

Yep, I'm totally sick of Son. Scoring just two goals today was atrocious.

If we can get our midfield sorted we will be ok
Dier was Dier ,Winks was mediocre.
Aurier is ludicrous
Dele and Moura hopeless today

Tomorrow’s match between Chelsea and United would be a more comfortable watch now, after today’s result.

I mentally checked out on this one until the goal at the end which woke me up.

It was one of those games that were destined for a loss or draw but when we managed to win I was doing victory laps around my living room to my dogs amusement
That's the Beauty, i thought the same, especially after we started squandering loads of great chances, but this Spurs just keeps on giving, and I'm Loving it.
Speak to me after a loss and I might have a different outlook.
Looking past that, the games are just great spectacles. There's no lull. We've got 2 modes invite a shit ton of pressure or all out attack. It's fucking spectacular.
Even when we were winning under the great Mauricio, there were matches, especially against lesser teams, where it got boring because the result was almost a forgone conclusion.
Nowadays anyone can rock up and know they have a chance, so they actually play. No one comes to defend against us anymore.
I know it's all about winning nowadays, and i would love us to win a trophy, but there's a certain joie de vive about watching a game on the edge of your seat. I can't explain it.
I don't what I'm trying to say but I'm Loving Spurs atm.
