That’s fair enough. Everyone has players they prefer.
I find most fans overrate and have bias towards their own players though which is natural.
I think if you asked any neutral fan who’s better they’d pick Saka personally
They might but that doesnt mean they are right.

Not sure I agree with this. Saka is a bigger talent than Kulu. Kulu gets the ball one on one constantly whereas Saka gets doubled up on. If Saka had kulus space he would have salah numbers this season (by that I mean the same amount of contributions salah has this season
He's not that good

Main thing I don't get is that if it's really fouls per game (or fouls per 90) then technically the refs are doing something about it by awarding the foul rather than letting it pass.

If they really want to get into it and start looking at fouls per caution then we can talk as that is the ref allowing fouls to happen with little to no punishment. Awarding a free-kick just allows the defending team extra time to re-group and get back into position (a common tactic of man City over the years) while giving a caution means the player then has to be more cautious and not risk any cynical fouls for the rest of the game.

Oddly enough I was just looking into that - I only have total fouls committed and suffered for outfield players - but have total YCs recieved by team and opponent (two different data sets so a little off - but close enough)

Arsenal: 194 FC; 30 YC = 6.5 fouls/YC
Opponents: 213 FC; 50 YC = 4.3 fouls/YC

Man City: 170; 30 = 5.7 fouls/YC
Opponents: 218; 59 = 4.6 fouls/YC

Liverpool: 239; 35 = 6.8 fouls/YC
Opponents: 204; 54 = 3.8 fouls/YC

I only looked at the top-6 - but those stood out as a very wide discrepancy

Tottenham: 219; 50 = 4.4 fouls/YC
Opponents: 294; 63 = 4.7 fouls/YC

Aston Villa: 215; 50 = 4.3 fouls/YC
Opponents: 254; 54 = 4.7 fouls/YC

Man United: 211; 44 = 4.8 fouls/YC
Opponents: 209; 45 = 4.6 fouls/YC

The data for total YCs and for opponents came from Fbref.com. The data for fouls committed and suffered by outfield players came from Opta - so there might be some slight discrepancy - but not enough to invalidate the bias shown above.

Surprised the clip of Saka taking out Tsimikas isn't doing the rounds from Liverpool fans yet. They must be slacking.

Then did the same move at a West Ham player, sprinting over and throwing his body weight into the player rather than making a tackle or playing the ball - and got away without a booking...

Someone needs to write a strongly worded letter to Arsenal telling them to stop bringing the game into disrepute. Desgracia.

But Salah gets doubled up on too.

Saka is good but he hasn't kicked on from the hype surrounding him. Doesn't really stand out to me anyway.
