Leave Atkinson alone. He’s 49. He looks about 60. Really fucked me up yesterday knowing I’m in the same decade as him.

Now it’s fucked me up that I’m just over a decade away from 60.

:(

Yeah, Xhaka. Twat.

Look on the bright side. There comes a time, fairly soon in your case, when you actually start moving away from 60 instead of towards it.

There have been a few threads on Twitter, mostly Liverpool fans banging their gums about Harry's alleged deliberate ploy of getting in under a player in order to get a foul.

Think of the Lallana one recently, there was another example in the match on Sunday, I can't remember who was involved.

It's a conspiracy theory they are building up and the gullibles are so to cling to this new angle saying it is dangerous to life itself.. Blah blah
I've just noticed that Red Cafe have taken this to the next level. A poster there thinks that the FA should convene a special panel to review Kane's behaviour with a view to imposing a restrospective punishment. He really has got into their heads... (Not totally unconnected with the way that United's fans were encouraged during the summer transfer window to think that all the club would have to do is make Harry an offer and he'd join them in an instant!)

They really are on a crusade with this. England (press and opposing fans) loves to build up it's sports stars and knock them down twice as fast.
.
They must hate the fact he is a happy family man, teetotal and not a granny shagging, nitrous oxide inhaling wife beater.

You have a duty to copy this post over into the Opponents Fans Saying thread.
I need to laugh at this.

Can we all stop crowing about people criticising Kane for the backing-in thing? It's been blown out of proportion but it's totally valid to point out that what he does (and anyone with eyes and the ability to look at it objectively can see that he instigates it) is dangerous and has the potential to cause a serious injury, depending on how the opponent lands. He obviously isn't doing it with the intent to cause harm, he's just being an "intelligent ****", but I wish people would stop laughing it off and acting as if poor innocent Harry just keeps getting fouled in exactly the same way by these flying opponents.

I’d forgotten camp Freddie’s stint. I guess most gooners have been trying to do that as well.

This article outlines why Arteta is such a terrible manager.

1. Rushing Partey back when he was obviously not fully fit. Give him time off the bench by all means but starting him was an obvious mistake.

2. Resting Abaumayang, a striker playing with zero confidence, for their EL game tonight. Surely give him a start and a chance to bag a couple of goals against a team they should beat comfortably. They aren’t set up to get the best out of him, but getting his confidence up should be a must.

Long may it continue.

Agree. He doesn't give them much to print does he other than on the pitch. Must really piss them off. Surprised they haven't tried to set him up. Maybe they have and he's too clever to fall for it.
Once he retires he'll probably go on a 3 month bender lol.

The first team is playing absolutely horrendous football. Why not rest them in a Europa league match and let them work out the kinks during a league game? Great management...

With the amount of football coming up in the PL and they are safely through, I'd say it's the right call to rest players when possible.

He's an absolute amateur. The more I delve into what he's doing with his management/coaching the more you start to realise how much he's in way over his head.

On one hand Arsenal are a mess and it'd be hard for even the most experienced coach, on the other hand, some of the decisions/coaching strategies he's doing are aspects you need to learn when cutting your teeth at a lower level club.

If he'd have gone in at a lower league Spanish club or Championship club he would have made these mistakes and likely been able to change them in the future without too much criticism his way or at least get a second bite at another club.

Instead his ambition/ego got the better of him and he thought he could go into one of the countries biggest clubs, that have a lot of troubles behind the scenes, and sort them out by simply saying he will be intolerant to ill-discipline and impose a system on the team that doesn't have the players for it.

The rumours were that Jose went for an interview there before us, and after seeing how bad things were behind the scenes, got out of there. Now, I don't know how true that is but if it is and Arteta walked in and saw the same things ten either he was completely blind to it all or he naively thought his limited nous could get the job done.

I didn't think Lampard did a great job at Derby and he was helped massively with the loanees when there, however by going to Derby first, Lampard will have learnt a lot and is now able to use that experience at Chelsea.

Finally, Arsenal fans keep laughing at Solskjaer and Lampard - calling them support teachers, yet out of the three coaches those two have actually got experience as a head coach/manager elsewhere. Arteta hasn't.

Dundalk 1-2 Arsenal
Three goals, three yellow cards and a filthy pitch. Decent match.
