Merson you surprise me I didn't think you had it in you to give Spurs any credit, good attempt at a climbdown but you are no more a pundit than any of those muppets on Arsenal Fan TV. If Merson wants to talk football then this is where he belongs. Yes he's played football, but as a pundit he should at least step back a little and offer some genuine independence. That rant before the game was so one sided and biased that it wouldn't look out of place on Arse Mania or Arsenal Fan TV.

Time to withdraw his Sky contract and let him get a few quid for spouting absolute horseshit on Arsenal Fan TV, I'm sure Robbie Lyle would give him a few readies every week for elevating their followers to ridiculous levels of expectations and he'd be paid double bubble overtime in the week leading up to NLD's hamming it up with trash talk.....
If Merson was any thicker he'd set.

Maybe, maybe not.

What is CERTAIN, however, is that the media and socials would have made a massive issue out of it; Arteta would have been incandescent; Ange would have been grilled about it in every presser and the result called into question by the decision whichever way it went.

Definitely an element of bias from my view when it comes to analyzing officiating performances but I truly believe at the very least, VAR would've looked at challenge couple more times if it was a Spurs player who slid in exactly the same way Nketiah did and from there - worst case scenario goes into effect.

That's fair enough, but throwing a player in before they are ready can really harm their career.
And considering Richy's impact last weekend it would be incredibly harsh to not have him come on at all today.

What a game that was. I have confidence that we can take on any team. After we got over our nerves, we were definitely the better team. We only dropped off after Sonny and Maddison went off.

It’s shocking how far we’ve come in such a short space of time under Ange.

Bring on any team, we can take ‘em

I still think we need another centre mid. I like Sarr but he is very raw. Need another real ball player in there to help retain possession and pass forward.

Amazing start to the season though. Love Ange.

Thankfully there's a certain bearded guy coming back from injury soon-ish

I was watching on peacock and Le Saux immediately said after the tackle on vicario “if that was at the other end” and l knew what he meant.

Would you feel the same if we lose an important game 1-0 by getting caught out doing it? I know I wouldn't.
Every team loses important games for a variety of reasons. Id rather lose games trying to play football the way we are now instead of the sitting back with no desire to play football like we did the last few years at home against Wolves, Southampton, Villa etc.

ftr after the initial annoyance I’m for the Saka dart thing; it’s what rivalries should be.

Thought we showed a lot, was impressed. Best we’ve played at the emirates in years.
