Well that does put the cat amongst the pigeons. Like I mentioned on the other page not many other WF players in that league that I could see us being interested in.

Pino is CAA base but still very raw, Kubo signed a new contract recently. I’m just going to pray the reports are true and we might try to take ether Guler or Rodrygo off RM in order to help them pay for mbappe. As long as we don’t go for Raphinha.

Thanks for the info as always 🤝

I wonder if the La Liga talent is Assane Diao of Real Betis.

He's an 18 year old Spanish/Senegalese wide forward who is highly rated. Very raw but regarded as a big talent. Can operate on both flanks though he primarily plays RW at the moment. Can see him switching to LW as he develops. I believe he's relatively 2 footed too.

Would fit the mould of us signing young wonderkids and could potentially be brought in as a long term Son sucessor, though I haven't watched much of him myself yet.

Pino's done his cruciate so can't imagine we'd be considering him right now unless there's a heavy discount.

There was a loose link to Rodrygo on Summer deadline from a most likely shit news source, "Spanish publication Nacional insist that Tottenham have ‘made an offer’ to Real Madrid for Rodrygo with €100m (£86m) on the ‘table’ for Florentino Perez to consider." The same article said Levy is "obsessed" with Rodrygo, lol.

Seen someone suggest Ferran Torres - think he'd be great in our system, and has been on the way out of Barcelona for a while.

I'd file that wholly under 'Complete bollocks'

Yeah I’m just purely looking at players in the league that we could potentially be interested in from a talent perspective. Tbh if we are trying to keep it under wraps it’s unlikely to be Pino even if he wasn’t injured. Same with players likes of Felix and Torres, neither I can see having numerous interested parties come summer.

One wonders if we would be back in for Ansu Fati after his loan spell ends at Brighton.

Supposedly Ange spoke at length with him and his representatives so I do wonder if he still covets him and could possibly be in conjunction with Lo Celso going the other way as Barcelona have shown repeated interest plus on the back of WLB's post suggesting he could be sold this summer.

I think if he had managed to stay fit all season then I could see that but the fact he got yet another injury for Brighton makes me think he’d be considered too much of a risk at this point.

Also in general Barca are seriously screwed going into summer and will likely need to raise anywhere between 100 to 200 mil plus reduce their wage bill. I’m fairly sure De Jong and Raphinha will be pushed out as they are two of their biggest earners. I could also see Lewa going and Fati but I’m not sure if they will be accepting any part exchanges. Plus need to remember Xavi is leaving

Good shout although he is Incredibly raw still. Certainly an exciting talent, although needs to work on his decision making, but sort of doesn’t add up if he’s an alternative to Neto and Raphinha. I’m sure we have looked at him, after all he was linked to Brentford in Jan and due to our data lead scouting approach we seem to share a lot of targets. He’d also be HG eventually if he joined in summer.

Would file him in the Nusa/Bardghji category, ie someone who probably wouldn’t have much impact for a few seasons. So as a secondary younger wing addition I could certainly see it but not as a primary.

What would you think about Joao Felix?

What would you think about Joao Felix?
He has a history with Porro which makes me think it’s a complete no go. Also his contract is rather tricky, so at Atleti he was on 250k p/w but he took a massive hit on that in order to play for Barca because it was his “dream” to play there (supposedly he’s only on 66k p/w during his loan). But there is a question of if he were to go elsewhere what would he be after. Plus he’s another Mendes client which like with Neto could make things tricky.

Personally I don’t really think it’s a matter of ability I just think there are too many other factors around him that make it an almost impossible signing before you get on to the debate of him as a player.

Would have to get this one done early if we go for it too many interested parties in Neto which could drive a bidding war and the club don’t entertain that. He’s keen on our project tho the agent might be a bastard to deal with to . Wolves will want north of 60m I love the player but maybe there’s better in the market if we look hard enough . But would be a marquee signing ✍🏿. We have a keen eye on a talent in La liga could be gettable in the summer and we are keeping an eye on him strongly cannot reveal tho yet. Raphina is another we are looking at but right now it’s just an intrest and I don’t think with the fee and age it goes against what we are doing atm .

Ange tho deffo wants a specialist winger who can isolate his defender in attacking transitions and offer abit of stardust comparable with Sonny .

Priority in order for summer right now :

IN
Wing forward
Deep lying midfielder
ST
Gk
LB Cover

OUT
Spence (not favoured)
Forster (need a system keeper)
Sess (not reliable )
Gil (not favoured
Tanguy (not favoured)
Lo celso (contract and injuries)
Pierre (wants to go and contract )
Reg (not favoured)
Rodon (not favoured)
Dier (gone)
Persic (gone)
Werner (if we don’t activate but think we will)
Solomon (might be able to generate funds)

I may have missed 1-2 but that’s how I’m seeing it right now obviously easier said then done but I think that’s the idea .
We execute the above plan and we win it all next season 🙏 the above is exactly what we need.

As for the winger Neto would indeed be a marquee signing, would be amazing to kick off next summer starting with Neto 🤞but can also see sense in finding better value elsewhere if Wolves want silly money for him.

De Jong is on something like 700k per week for another 2 years. He's not going anywhere

Thanks for this. I’d be quite concerned if we tried to get another 5 in this summer. Probably an unpopular opinion but the squad revolution has happened. I feel we need to focus on adding 1/2 high quality additions and integrating players like Dragusin, Bergvall, Devine, Veliz, etc.

De Jong is on huge cash cos he had to defer salary so like a number of their players his wages are huge for final few years of contract as his wages are back loaded.
Signing him or any of the other players that agreed to defer wages means would be hugely difficult as they will need to negotiate payoffs with Barca for the money they gave up and Barca will try screw them as much as possible.
