Birmingham City are weighing up a move for Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner.

The Times says Brum are monitoring Gardner's situation, where Spurs boss Juande Ramos is threatening big defensive changes during this month's winter market.

ive startd to like big tone recently, he seems to love the club, and if it wasnt for injuries he could have been a very good player, however he needs games and he wont get them here so he will move on, just a shame that we will have to buy someone to replace him, probably another 1 season bench warmer

If he wasn't so injury prone he would easily hold his own as a starting cb in the prem. Good cover when fit but that's the problem!

I like Gardner, and would be happy for him to stay at Spurs. Which is what I suspect will happen because longstanding rumours suggest Big Tone will never pass a medical.

Unless of course Brum's pornographers are happy to sign players without their passing a physical...

Arguably looked our most assured centre-back this season when he's played. Definitely want him to stay.

Time to throw sentiment out the window and be ruthless. He's not good enough. Let's get a 1st XI CB in and Dawson (and Kaboul) can be cover.

Karen Brady's been in touch with Spurs apparently, I presume about Gardner but could be about Stalteri or Routledge but less likely. I'm also guessing that it wasnt about Ghaly, although now that Bruce has gone they may not be expected to do any running in training now!

If its his time it'll be a shame. If things had gone differently (i.e. Big Tone being a 30+ games a season player) he had the potential to be every bit as good as King. As it stands though I wouldn't mind it either way. He stays and he's backup he goes a youngster gets the chance.

I'm pretty dissappointed by the reactions. Sure he's not quite filled his promise but he's had awful luck that just wasn't his fault. Some of our fans are very cruel to good/loyal servants to our club.

If ever there was a player that needed to move on it's big Tone. Shame, always wanted him to make it.
