Andy Grays Commentary Today

The guy was so biased it was unreal. There were stages that we were battering them, had all possession, and he would come out with dross quotes like, "If Villa can score here they will have a great chance."

It wasnt just one comment though, all match he was having digs. I noticed it in the carling cup final aswell having digs all match and now this, what the hell is his problem?

Notice he doesnt do a possession count every 5 minutes when we are dominating, but when Villa have the ball he was bringing up the stat twice every 10 minutes played. Hes neve bothered me before but i had to mute the commentary today it was that bad.

Somebody shoot him.

The fat fuck always does this - he hates the decent teams - Spurs, Man Utd, West Ham, Everton, etc.

He loves scumbags such as Villa, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Please can someone tell me how Sky get away with calling a premiership player by his nickname?

Richard Keys and Andy Gray both said in midweek "Stevie G is a massive player for Liverpool" They also call John Terry "JT"

Do they call Corluka "Charlie" or Darren Bent " Benty" ? No but they love Stevie G and JT!

hmm well i think alot of the time Andy Gray reads things right but I think too often he tries to be the showman. When something happens, he makes his mind up very very quickly and really forcefully tries to hammer it in and defend it...even when he is blatently wrong.

I think his role on SKY has made him think he is God and is always right and therefore does make some very silly judgements and statements at time.

But its just the whole british media. I hate watching Champions League because only the La Liga guys on Sky are any good, everyone else is so one-eyedly english (no not british) its really annoying.

I mean I dunno what the rest of europe's commentary teams are like but I find the BBC are fair - Motty in particular will say a team are shit when they have been, even England or his beloved Spurs! But ITV and Sky...dear God...you'd think only one team was playing!

The games I've seen with American commentary are pretty decent, they are very fair, ok sometimes they swoon over the big name players, but they still call games down the middle.

I've learnt over time to not listen to that idiot, yes he is very biased to the sky 4 and always puts Spurs down, I guess theres a clause in his contract that states as a Sky employee he must praise the Sky 4 and put all the rest down with his drival.

Our Football did the talking on the pitch today, we didn't need Andy Gray to tell us what we could all see, us taking our chances and generally playing well against a team that a few weeks ago were contenders for top 3.

As much as Andy Gray likes to think, we are no longer the premiership pushovers.

Yes, we were. And we pretty much dominated the second half. But Gray still didn't have much to say about us. Personally I don't mind Gray because the rest of the commentators are fairly shit. In certain games he can be objective, but today he was awful. It makes me even happier when we win. :grin:

If those are the kind of quotes that you people base your hatred towards Andy Gray or others, then I think some of you need to grow the fuck up. I've heard the guy a few times while watching games over streams, and I can't believe how so many people whine so much about him and many others when there is absolutely no reason to. I watch games in FOX sports in spanish, there are 2 mexicans that cover the EPL matches. One of them labelled us as Arsenal wannabes. That I could understand getting a bit pissed off about, but what the heck is wrong with saying "If Villa can score they have a great chance".

I'd bet your ass that fans from -insert random club- are also constantly bitching about these commentators hating their clubs without realising what over the top drama queens are themselves.

My father phoned me up at half time from the uk, and was so down and depressed in his tone I had to point out how well we were playing as a unit. And the fact we were WINNING of course! From reading this thread I can understand why he was now. Gray playing with the delicate confidence of the viewing Spurs fans.

I cancelled sky cos of this sort of nonsense,the final straw was the Carling Cup final when he said after a Ronaldo shot"that would have been poetic justice" if it had been the winner! Fk em Sky can only survive on the top 4 and therefore promote them at all costs.Its not the top 4 its the Sky 4!!!!!
