Having a mooch around the Opta Stats revealed something I didn't expect to see so I thought I would share this with you:

Know I knew Steeeeeed was putting in the workrate but that blew me away to be honest

I assume that's the top of the tackler's list

No well done to Steed - really has raised his game. Should probably keep him on as a squaddie in the summer after we've signed a top-class LW

For an attacking player, he does a hell of a lot for our defense.

Yer he does....78% success rate on tackles over the season for an attacking player is bloody high

Boobs.

He's seriously becoming my favourite player. Although Keano will always cartwheel in my heart.

His placment in the tackle stats was similar last season too.

Clichey is outstanding to be in the top 5 for passing and tackling

At last he is coming good, ans showing the reason why we bought him. Ramos has can get the best out of the players, and u gotta say it looks more and more like BMJ just cudnt do that

I'll say it again. steeds stats were virtually identical for last seaon under BMJ.. high 70's for tackles attempted and won.

why don't research this before making a statement like the above?

Well done to Steed. One of those players I always wanted at Spurs and so glad we've got him now. I don't think this stat means he'd be a ball-winning superstar in CM though...

Wonder what happened to all those people in SC going around calling him Malwank and saying he's not good enough us. Always rated him since his Fulham days and really thought we got him for cheap then. Real glad that he's shown everyone his worth now. Steed is the man!!!

From a flowing football perspective, i certainly think he's not good enough, or Malwank as you put it. Good workrate and does a lot of good work defensively, but we will make a lot of progress when he's replaced for an actual winger
