Get him in, still not late for Spence and Sessegnon to become terminators with his guidance.

What an option he'd be to throw on against tired legs in the last twenty minutes!

Still rather Zaha...big time. But I'd take Traore.

I'm not a fan, but at least he offers something completely different with his strength and speed. The other options we have brought in so far have been quite 'safe' in regards to us believing they will be good or great, so taking a gamble, if it was cheap, on Traore and hoping that Conte and his team can mold him into a star might be worth it..

For me it would have to be £15-20m range to make it paletable though, and I'm guessing he would be more expensive than that

Can you imagine bringing on Traore on the right and Richy on the left when your opponent is knackered in the last 20 minutes..

That would be a mental rollercoaster.

Whether it’s James, Zaha or Traore, it seems Conte’s weakness he’s identified is a lack of direct, vertical ball carriers in our squad. And he clearly loves pace as well.

If you want a player for that specific role, rather than the best player available, there are few in the world better suited than Traore (and Zaha). Happy with either of them.

Yep. I'd take both but Zaha is clearly the preferred choice.

Simply a far bigger goal threat.

I'd be more happy with Saint-Maximin.

A year left on his contract and not a starter. I reckon that would be the absolute top end if not less. More like 10-15m

He didn't make any difference when he came on against us. So I doubt he'd be the difference when another team is supposedly knackered.

I can’t do enough mental gymnastics to prove to myself that he’s even adequate. I just don’t like him at all. If it would be a permanent deal, I would very much expect him to become an unmovable deadwood.

I actually think Traore would be a better option than James or even Zaha. We have Son and Richarlison who are more comfortable coming off the left. We need cover for Kulusevski off the right, Traore seems a better for for that. Contract running down, beast pace and power. Could be a real threat. I feel Doherty could be used in such a deal too, Emerson and Spence is ok for RWB.

I’d still take Zaha over him due to his goal threat, but yeah ASM would be next above Traore. Doubt Newcastle would sell him though and doesn’t look keen to go even if he does have that release clause (which I think is probably bollocks)

His decision making in the final third is atrocious and even if he’s working in Conte’s strict tactics his final ball is also shocking. Watching him be completely ineffective far Barca last season in a significantly weaker league made it incredibly clear how limited a footballer he is. I don’t really understand getting him when we have Lucas who essentially does the same thing without the baby oil.

I was mildly intrigued by the idea of him being a RWB but as an actual attacking addition I’d rather we play Gil.
