Im not sure you and I have the same definition of "end product"...
Maybe... for me end product is getting the goal or assist at the end. Lucas can do this part, he just can't get into those positions in the first place. The thing with Traore is he can definitely get into those kind of positions but then the final ball misses the target.

Disagree, I think Lucas has great end product he just too often runs himself into a position where he can't use it. That's his main problem. He'll maybe beat his man, look like he's about to go on a great run, then find himself surrounded by opposition and crowded out before he can get a pass or a shot away.

That problem is why he has no end product.

Much like Dembele, who'd often look like he was dribbling for his own amusement, rather than to create chances, Lucas seems to dribble through 3 or 4 players... then, when he could pass, he decides to run into, often, the last man. That is the issue with his 'end product' - he does a lot of running, but it often ends with nothing.

That's where Traore is different, from what I've seen - people use his lack of shooting ability to suggest he has no 'end product', but every game so far this season he seems to do something with his runs; be it a shot (if a poor one), a cross, or winning a corner.

His stats do not back up your opinion here. He has 3 PL goals in 31 PL games last season. How is that 'great' end product? I always go off PL stats as they are the true barometer, not how many he scores against farmer teams in the europa.

As a RWF, averaging a goal every 10 PL games is shocking and no way justifies being selected.

Without turning this into the Traore thread (edit: moved to Traore thread!), he's explosive and defences shit themselves when he runs at them. If he barely ever touches the ball but takes 2 defenders out of contention then the others should be scoring for fun. It also helps with what we've been historically poor at, breaking down teams that sit deep while all we can do is tippy-tap around the centre circle trying to find space before Winks plays it back to Hugo.

I have a feeling we might push this through if we can get money from ndombele going somewhere.

With regards to Traore, if i had a preference on signing a player we've played against so far then it wouldn't be Traore it would be Sarr at Watford. Not that i think Traroe wouldn't be a good signing, i just see more potential in Sarr.

That's a misinterpretation of the stats IMO. End product is of course dependent on getting those kind of chances in the first place. If he was getting big chances every game he would put them away. So for me, it's cause and effect and end product is not the problem here it's the result.

I personally prefer to use my eyes. I have watched each of his three games this year and on current form I've seen him create a multitude of great chances for Jimenez and other attackers that I have no doubt Kane and Son would have finished. He should have 3-4 assists to his name already and would have that if he played for Spurs and that is excluding all of the corners and FK's he has won. Wolves have really let him down thus far. I don't think there is a better in form winger in the Premier League at the moment.

I think Traore will happen.

Levy owes us after those non existent transfer windows lol.

But seriously, if the new manager is adamant he should back him and pay the premium.

With Traore, you need to factor him into your game plan and he's impossible to ignore or he'll dominate you. How many managers make special plans to deal with Bergwijn or Moura?

Moura has shocking end product too though. He's a better finisher than Traore, but Traore is a superior dribbler, faster, stronger.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a vast improvement, but if we are going to have a RWF with questionable end product, Traore will bring more to the table, he has more potential upside, and the manager wants him. He's 25 so could improve, Moura is 29 and won't.
It’s not only about who is better between Moura and Traore. We need another forward to cover/rotate and competition.

How does Son manage it on the other side then? You are bending over backwards to make excuses for him. Moura rarely looks like scoring, it's his fault not because people aren't giving him chances.

Anyway back on topic

Because Son gets into good positions and has the end product to top it off. How is it making excuses for Lucas when I'm criticising his ability to get into space and open up chances for himself?

Moura banged in a 2nd half hattrick in a CL semi final. Traore would’ve likely hit the ball out of the stadium while while trying to pass the ball.
