I agree his goal tally is questionable , but him not getting assists is down to his teammates, when those passes go to kane or son we will see the assists numbers will rise significantly

£50m would be ridiculous for a player with such obvious flaws.

And when there are more pressing needs. He doesn’t seem like a player we really need. Moura is in good form, we’ve signed Gill, still have Begjwin so just don’t get laying out that much for him. Sure if he was available at a good price then fine but £50m is mad.

Maybe it's a masterstroke from the club, paying a large sum on a player with two years left, so next summer when a certain somebody has two years left we can point to this deal

Personally think up to 50 would be worth going for him. We know what he will bring but the most important thing for me is backing Nuno.

If we could shift a couple today I imagine we would get it done. I am not confident we will if we dont move a couple on.

The Mendes link is clear for all to see, if they want Renato they need to be reasonable with Traore. Come on Fab, let's get this done.

I want him mainly because Berg or Moura are both not good enough so we need someone to elevate that RWF side, plus him and Royal would be a scary and powerful right side attack wise.

50 for Traore would be so out of character given a very sensible window finance wise.

I dunno - the rest might have been done to leave £50-60m free for a striker, and so if Nuno decides Traore is his wildcard, we may be able to do it

Is he half the player Grealish is? Less than half?

I suspect Liverpool would get involved at some point, to provide another different option as wide forward. One thing about him, hes definitely a different option to what any side has in their team.

I must admit I personally felt unsure about going for Traore as I felt we had cover in this area and the more pressing concern was getting a body in there to take the load of Kane/Son particular with europe and wanting them to avoid playing in that. Of course the hope is that Scarlett plays every single game but I wonder if we land Traore if we're going to be happy with Moura playing down the middle in that comp.

You say Moura isn’t good enough but he’s twice the footballer Traore is imo. And I’m not even a massive Moura fan.

Seems like this deal is definitely possible as he wants to come and he has 2 years left on his contract and has no intention of signing a new one. I mean how much would he be worth next summer?

I know its stating the obvious but it just seems like the two clubs finding a realistic agreement.

£50m is mental money for him IMO. Seems like we're on the reverse end of a Kane situation where it appears he's far more valuable to them than he is to us. I can see us walking away personally.

I hope Levy rings Paritici and tells him to incrementally increase bids by 1 million each minute of the last ten minutes of deadline. That's a Levy trademark from the Berahino days. Think it could work here.

Agree, if Levy was still in charge it would no doubt be £30m + £20m in goal related bonuses :)

Personally don't think there is any chance we sign him today. We clearly don't have much money to spend so we're certainly not going to fork out £40 odd million today out of the blue on Traore.
