Personally I can't believe people can watch our slow, boring football for 2 years, then watch Adama Traore tear us a new arsehole and think "no thanks mate". Baffles me.

Yet none of the other top teams in the PL or in Europe have signed him or are interested in signing him thus far. Baffles me. ?

Sissoko has never moved very fast and had the explosive pace that Adama has.

They're completely different players IMO.

If anything Traore is more like Lennon - just a lot stronger.
some might even say lennon with muscles...

Imagine if Traore did have an end product. We would be talking possibly one of the best players in the world. I hope it comes good for him. Seems like a lovely chunky lad.

Because we think the slowness in our game is down to Nuno and Jose ball both valuing relatively boring football play and heavily emphasize counter attacks over consistent high energy press and attack and don't think having 1 very rapid player will fundamentally change that ?‍♂️.

You are out of your mind if you wouldn't take Traore.

That skill move Bergwijn pulled Sunday was about the first time in 5 years that we had a player just leave someone in the dust 1:1 on the flank. It's the biggest thing we lack, even more than a creative passer.

Winds me up when people describe Adama as simply 'fast and strong'. Of course he is both, and they're tremendous assets to have. But above all else his standout asset is that he's amongst the best dribblers in world football, and it's very frustrating to see people write him off as some sort of physical freak with no footballing talent.

The more I watch him it seems he is actually good technically from slow or standing.

It seems what he hasn't mastered is maintaining that at top speed. Which is extremely difficult.

Perhaps he needs to learn to slow down and gather himself.

First few pages of this topic are quite funny, about 95% of posters dont rate him and dont want him. On the contrary, most of the posts from last couple of days are much more favourable. Who is right on this one? Time will tell.

If I don't like Traore's lack of 'end product' what I do like about him is that you can play him as a WB in a five. In other words, a player for different positions much like Tanganga who is ostensibly a CB.

Come on. That’s just not true. A 25 year old, one of the best dribblers in the world does not play for wolves.

Statistically, the best dribbler in the world behind Messi does indeed play for Wolves.

The reason, however, is that he's distinctly average/poor at pretty much everything else.

No he can’t, he’s defensibly absolutely shocking. I honestly have no idea how you’ve come to that conclusion based on any factual information of his career. ??

I believe that is not the issue that some have on here, and they do recognise his dribbling talent but what is there at the end of it, you can go past 4 / 5 / 6 players but at the end of it doesnt produce assists / goals or scoring leading opportunities, thats the crux of the concern. Its like comparing a team that can have 80% possession every game but do nothing with it and lose the game, yes that is an extreme but its just to explain the concern people have.
