Not for us thou, we had cheaper brands, like. Topper which sells footballs for $30. But the bigger names like Adidas, Nike footballs cost $50+

That time I had $2 pocket money a day?

you kidding??

You could buy an Adidas or Umbro ball down the mount for about a fiver when i was a kid, and i just turned 40.

Isn't that cheap over here thou. All these stuff were imported over here.

My first Spurs Jersey cost me $100. Now u can get them for like... $60. Previously shops seldom bring in high end sports equipment. Low demand, so low supply. And hugely overpriced.

We use to have a few brands that were cheaper, topper is the only one I remember since I had a lot of topper stuff, football, gloves, socks, shin guards... Puma was also cheap because they sponsored the national team and hence sold their stuff cheaper to the masses. Thou I never really like red stuff so I seldom got puma. Lol

That was in the 80s... Before stuff being out source to china and all the "fake" stuff came in.

I used to love those Uhlsport balls from Serie A in the 90's... looked a bit like this:

Alternatively there were those horrible, rock hard, molded plastic bastards you had to play with in PE in the 80's... so when one whacked you on the inside of the thigh when it was freezing cold and pissing down it stung like fuck and left a red bobbly mark there for a week.

I agree. It is near enough impossible to find Black football boots. When I was younger if your football boots weren't black you had to be something special or you would be kicked all over the park. When I am looking for football boots for my son you can't actually get any that are black. When did that change?
There are a few which are still 'proper'.

Adidas - World Cup, Copa Mundial, Kaiser and Gloro.
Nike - Premier
Puma - King Pro, King Top di
Pantofola d'Oro - Any
Hummel and Mizuno also do classic stylings.

A lot of those you won't find in high street shops anymore though. I always used to use www.prodirectsoccer.com.

Best ball of all time

No way. I don't think Nike have ever produced a decent ball and last years and this new one are fucking heinous abominations.

Best ball ever was this one:

This one was good (or the Serie A circa 2004-5 ish version)

And you cannot beat the classic:
