"The players are very down"

But will no doubt still pick up their paychecks. It does beg the question of the lack of leadership on the pitch especially on day like this. It's all very well having a happy, go lucky smiling, always upbeat personality in your side but occasionally we need a Roy Keane on the pitch. Today was one of them.

On another sober note, we have now conceded more goals than any of the other top six sides, form that would rule us out of any serious contention in any league.

Nothing to do with whether Micky plays or not but it's going to be a very interesting Summer, where a quality DM needs to be vey much on the list of incomings.
You concede goals by not dominating the midfield.

How many lessons do we need before we do though, this has been going on for years, and under several managers….

I know mate.

For me, all the players and management were complacement.

Why the average fan has the forsight to predict complacency and the management doesnt seem to of is completely beyond me.

Now, win, lose or draw tonight, a big team mentality would of seen us really dig in and at least make a proper fight of it.

It was a weak mentality on show, which we just cant seem to ever shake off, hence the constant Spursy ridicule.

I said it before the game that I fully expect us to phone it in tonight. Year after year of supporting this club has done that to me. The worst part about it was that I was proved absolutely correct. Such piss poor mentality.

Been busy all day and saw nothing of the game. Was not expecting to see that score line when I checked just now!

Very good teams don't lose 3-0 at Fulham. Basically we're not a particularly good team. We're capable of putting in very strong performances, especially if our opponents are a bit 'off', and we have some flair players, but we're not good enough defensively and we're too easy to play against at times. I would rather we qualified for Europa tbh because there's no way we're gonna be in any shape to compete for the CL next year.

What gets me is how we can have a full week with no midweek games and look so slow to everything, so poor at passing. How a team with 4th in site has less desire than a team with little to play for but an outside chance of conference league football. The inconsistency is puzzling after such a consistent start to the season. Every game feels it could just go either way and you never know what Spurs will show up. Often flipping between good and bad in the same game.

I even had mates, United and Liverpool ones, saying lets see if you'll resort to type after a big win....

I said I dont think we will...one of them said, its what Spurs do mate lol

Sigh ffs.

Personally mate I think he’s all fur coat and no knickers and have always felt that about him.
I thought he started the season really well and was a difference maker. But he trailed off badly. And I had that impression of him, hot and cold, before he joined us. He's certainly far to cocky for a guy that's achieved almost nothing in the game so far. An FA cup and a relegation or two??

Don't disagree with any of this but they need to show that they really understand it and not turn up like that again.

Agree with you mate. Son has spewed out this rhetoric about 3/4 times above. Love the guy but when the team isnt giving the right attitude, he as captain should be trying to rally the troops mid battle, not try and appease the fans with strong words afterwards.

I couldn't give a fuck about the players' apologies, it's meaningless. As if they didn't realise before the game that they need to put in 100% effort? Fucks me off. Mistakes, sure, everyone's human. Not being bothered? Unacceptable.
