The club have really done themselves no favours in this window at all

Porro aside it’s been another shit show, even that transfer has been poorly handled

If ever there was evidence in a window what absolute bobbins our leaders, negotiators and transfer committee is , this is the one. An utter shambles.

The only thing I can think of is that we haven't invested as we should have done due to how many question marks hang over the club.

Will Conte still be with us in 6 months?!
Will Levy still be in charge?!
Will be be subject to a full takeover?! Will we have a small % investment?! Will Kane still be with us?! Will Paratici still be here?!

So many unknowns and much like Liverpool, I guess the club aren't willing to spend more money when there are so many uncertainties hanging over the club.

I am in complete agreement with you, it's a shambles year after year, every window the same issues. It won't change until Levy goes and we have some serious investment or change of ownership.

Every window I'm sucked in with optimism and believing what I'm told about the business we plan to do. Yet we ALWAYS fall short of what we need. Danjuma in and Gil out means we have no further attacking options from the bench if needed. Yes Danjuma gives us a pace option, but he's currently a complete unknown as to how he will settle. Porro is a fantastic addition and credit where it's due, without Levy it wouldn't have happened. But does Levy feel that's enough to save his skin and some fan backlash for the next few months?! Well it isn't anywhere near enough, because our main problems are GK and CBs and we have addressed none of them.

Porro is a fantastic addition, I'm very excited that he's joined us. But when we continue to see mistake after mistake for the remainder of the season from the same players, well the club only have themselves to blame for where we end up. It's going to take a Conte masterclass to get us top 4.

Rant over, COYS!
So so spot on!

Couldn’t have said it all any better.

This window has proved to me the following:
Levy doesn't care about champions league football next season if he did why didn't risk a bit more money to improve our current squad that is outside of champions league and getting further adrift

Levy had no intention of getting more than 2 players and was always going to be more players out than in to save on wages. Usual shit.

The Usual excuses we couldn't improve every position this window but it will next window...... or the next window....window how many times we heard that.

Levy had no intention to back Conte and has cheap skated another window. He will never change.

Some fans are already defending Levy as we are do used to disappointment and that shouldn't be an excuse.

It will be repeated in the summer 1 or 2 in and 4-5 out so more money saved.

how can a top flight club not be aware of the rules? this is the last straw for the board in my opinion.
complete shit show, people at the top of the club have no idea what is going on, or was just hoping noone would notice.
The lack of transfers is one thing, but to have to terminate someones contract cos they didnt know the rules is diabolical

whats your reasoning behind this? CB is our weakest position now? How can WE and conte not expect a decent one? Highest season tickets etc, was told the stadium would be a game changer … etc etc, it’s just lies after lies every single season!

Because it is a transfer window in the middle of an ongoing season. I find it quite baffling that it even exist with so few restrictions in comparison to the summer window. Also, teams are holding on that much harder to their best players because it is, again, in the middle of the season. Thus, any form of strengthening in January is a win in my book (even though there is always room for a bigger win).

The club must have only realised the fuck up last minute - we only came up with the idea of switching Porro's deal to a loan late last night so 9 loanees was never part of the plan.

If we'd realised earlier we would've just sold him to Atletico...or anywhere...at a cut price rate. We must've only just noticed our mistake hence we outright cancelled his contract to avoid breaking the rules.

It's 8 in and 8 out isn't it? So Porro in makes no difference.

Come on lads I'm all for knocking levy and club strategy but least releasing Doherty actually solves an issue. For too long we have accused levy of hanging on to players for too long etc I'm glad we've gotten rid of a player that isn't good enough for us and no one was going to buy from us.
That is a change in tact from us which I hope continues on. Too many below average players in our squad, need to ship them out any way we can.

It the international loan issue is the reason we’ve released Doc that’s gross incompetence. We could easily have ensured Spence or Gil moved to a premier league team
