That was always going to be the plan to be fair, he's only interested in selling a premier League experience to whoever wants to buy. It doesn't matter who wins as long we just stay in the league.

I'm really pleased we've got porro as he can make a massive impact and hopefully improve how the overall team operates.
I'd have liked a CB but strongly think we need to get it right with a proper top quality one (rather than another squad filler), so I'm fine with waiting until the summer to get the right guy.

I agree with this, I've felt this each of the last few windows. I actually view the last few windows as successful under Conte too!
This window - major need at RWB addressed - 7/10
Last Summer - CDM, Back up to Son/Kane, LWB - 8/10
Last winter - CM and RWF - 8/10
So unfortunately I just feel we're missing that CB or two that has basically been linked since Conte has came. Only Lenglet on loan in that timeframe.
Really hoping we can have some injury luck, Porro can settle in quickly, and we go on a few runs to keep Conte around for one last push next year.

I get the Levy hate but some of this seems over the top .... Not sure why I'm surprised.

It’s truly mad how much is up in the air regarding next season. You could say it’s potential, but given how fucking bad we are at getting stuff done promptly, an overstuffed squad and no long term direction doesn’t scream promising.
Ah well. Just have to win the CL I guess.

I disagree and im sure others will go against me but i think its a shrewd window in a window well known to be tough to work through.
Going into next season, regardless of top 4 or not we will boast a base that consists of Udogie, Romero, Porro, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Danjuma, Son, Kane. That is the healthiest position we have been in since losing the Champions League final.
I dont want us to keep signing poor quality, personally I would rather wait until class to kick us on is available and whilst I'd have liked a Bastoni, Gvardiol, Hincapie, Zaniolo type of deal to top it off, I'm very excited about how we are shaping up in the grand scheme of things. Those full back additions are very exciting and to get a player like Porro should only be seen as a quality thing. 1 or 2 more yes but to call it an utter disgrace or a window I ain't so sure mate

Porro was my number 1 target so im very happy that it looks to be done. However, we have had 2 windows now to sort out a CB and the best we have managed to do is loan Lenglet. Considering it is probably our weakest area, that is really concerning and disappointing.

For me we are desperately needing a centre back to challenge Dier and a midfield playmaker to stitch defence and attack together better.
Goalkeeper will be fine until the summer as Lloris will get our of the slump but he is afforded very little protection from a shoddy central defensive group.

But disagrace of a window ? nah...thats WestHam bringing in just aged & injury prone Ings for relegation battle. Or Liverpool who brought 1 player who already looks a flop
Window resolves us with RWB issue thats been a thorn for 2 seasons. We can certainly take positives from this.
For me, its critical, we need to understand Conte situation. If he is going to leave in summer, I would rather not spend this window and do it in summer

It’s nice to sign a young player that’s classed as a starting XI upgrade. We don’t do that very often, so whilst we really needed more this window, atleast we have that positive to hold onto.
Our right side is looking very strong now (Romero, Porro, Kulu), more additions of this quality and we could be up to speed inside the next 2 windows.

Hahaha, people bitching about this window. I have no idea why some feel so entitled! Jan window is notoriously bad for doing deals. The summer is when most will get done. Yet we have signed two solid players that IMO has strengthened us. Some can't see beyond their Levy hate. Let's not forget, it is Conte that says what players he wants, but not all players will want to come to us or the selling club don't want to sell as is their right.
