Whenever we have played city I have never either seen Jesus in the starting 11 or come on as a sub and thought "oh shit, he's quality we are in trouble here", he is decent, no more and certainly not what arsenal need.

Totally this. He's not good enough to make that forward spot his own at City with no real competition.

He's a decent player but nowhere near what you'd call a world class forward.

I'm glad they spunked a fair wedge on him.

He isn't top class at all. His stats don't back it up at all, nor do his performances. He'll never score more than 15 league goals in the prem. Arsenal is about his level if he wants to be a consistent starter.

He would not start for us that's for certain, hence why we didn't sign him!

He isn’t top class at all. He was a back up striker at a team with no strikers. Didn’t he score like half his season tally in one game? He will miss loads of chances for the scum. He isn’t the clinical striker they think they are getting.

Could be looking at over £100 million spent on him and Raphina. Can’t imagine there will be a lot of money left to address the problems they have in their midfield and defence.

Raphinha is quality though so hope they don't get him but not worried about it.

Our attack is another level, not to mention our manager.

We're in such good hands now....totally chilled and excited.

He's just another Werner really, gets into some really good positions but must frustrate as a fan how little end product he has. One of those players who you think should be scoring more than he does with the skillset he has. It's still a good signing and someone they can work with to try and take up another level. Although I don't see Arteta as that type of man and if Pep can't get it out of him than I don't see Arteta being capable.

yes he is. Pep literally started him in pretty much every important City game post Christmas. Why do our fans have to lie about him just because Arsenal have signed him. It’s pretty embarrassing.

Lie about him lol

If he was that good for them Pep would be keeping him.

It's really not rocket science...they're happy to sell him.

It's all the wee fannies crying about them signing a no more than decent player...

That's what's embarrassing

Seem some seriously deluded/bitter takes in here. Jesus is top class. It’s a great signing for Arsenal. But since he’s a gooner, let’s close the thread now.
Bollocks is he "top class". Not one ounce of jealousy do I feel. Hes a good player who's a bit of a wet wipe like his manager. Never scores the crucial goal at the crucial time which is why City have got shot of him.

I couldn't give a single shit what Arsenal do in this window because we are light years ahead of them.

I think most of us would agree that he's a very good footballer. You don't play in the front line for Man City if you aren't very good technically and work your bollocks off. I think there are legitimate question marks as to whether he's a top class 'goalscorer' though - evidenced by his consistently below-average finishing stats and the fact he blanked in 31 out of 41 appearances last season while playing for perhaps the best attacking side in world football.

£45 million for a bit part player with a year left on his contract smells very very fishy to me.

I wonder if Arsenal will be getting a new Abu Dhabi based official nostril tweezers partner in the near future.

Blanking in 31 out of 41 in the most creative side in world football is appalling really...whatever way you cut it.
