I’ve never really seen much of him. Could he play in a 2 in midfield?

Yes, he's very comfortable in a 2 man CM. He's also on course to have his most productive scoring & assisting season this year. Reports indicate that he would prefer to stay in Serie A and would cost a large sum of money for Lazio to let him go.

Fucking guy is slowly driving me (even more) insane.

I swear I've seen so many people on here saying exactly what you've said (@Ghost Hardware is another who's voiced concerns, and I'm sure there's more besides him).

And yet I come back the next day & this Torres dude is top of everyone's wishlist.

What the fuck? Is he shit or not?
He’s overrated, good on the ball but suspect defensively. Works in Emery’s system but one must remember Foyth is very good for Emrey and Gio is genuinely looking like a top level creative midfielder. I’ve watched him several times and he’s always been incredibly underwhelming. However If you watched his games against BM he looked did look fantastic to be fair to him.

But would I buy him, no, is he worth what they would charge, probably not, could Conte turn him in to a quality LCB, possibly yes if he gets that CL performance every week from him, is he worth the gamble with that taken into consideration, IMO no.

I suppose so but there needs to be lots of changes for that situation to arise whereas at Spurs he knows he’ll be our no.2 with every chance of succeeding Lloris if he performs.

Obviously what you say is entirely plausible but I’d be shocked if he went to United who still currently have 4 senior goalkeepers on their books.

Funnily enough if we get CL it's prob less likely we get him as he won't even be playing in Europe for us. If we are europa then he can be our cup keeper

Been some talk of Milenkovic-Savic. Was destined for stardom a few years back but not moved anywhere. Due his move away from Lazio and I think he could work very well in midfield
I would still take him. Still very highly rated by Lazio and they would still want top $ which is why it won’t happen. He’s in his prime and been a joy to watch at times this season with 9 goals and 9 assists. But I think he’d be a very good buy, physically and technically he’d suit the PL. Juve been thinking about him this summer but I don’t think they have the shrapnel. I’d take ether him or Fabian Ruiz from Lazio/Napoli over Tielmens for example if we are looking for more forward thinking CMs (Savic has been playing as 10 at times this season so could also do a job further up the pitch)

I can see us targetting McKennie or Svanberg for CM (if we do want to bring one in).
I think we would have zero chance of McKennie, been a vital player for them this season until his injury and Nedved/Allegri already said he’s going to be a big part of Juve’s future.

Can’t forget Eriksens last season at Tottenham , not for me
But you're willing to forget Kane's drama this past summer and his play the first few months of this season? That happened for the exact same reason as Ericksen's last season here. Daniel Levy.

I'm willing to forget the past and forgive Levy. The jury is still out on him though. I need to see actual action to back up all of the talk coming from the club before I do. This summer and what happens with Conte will be telling.

Can you please outline which attributes of his would be insane and what level of insanity we talking ?

Direct hard working left winger who has composure infront of goal and has a good cross

Plus hoke grown and approaching his peak. Can also cover left forward in injury crisis

Prem proven

Would be such a smart signing

Sorry if it shouldn't be posted, is a, shitty source etc.

Sorry if already said… but water under the bridge, methinks. Also, didn’t we help him with his rehab? Seems to me that we have a strong relationship with him as a club. Plus, he is close with many of our players. Plus, Conte trusts him. Makes a lot of sense. I’d be a huge fan of this move.

I think Eriksen and Bissouma added to PEH, Skippy, Bentancur with those other two would give us a really solid midfield group, with lots of variety. Plus, Sarr until January would provide depth. Bissouma would be fairly inexpensive, cos he only has 1 year left on his contract. And of course Eriksen would be free. Ensures we have a bigger fund for more important upgrades; RWB, LCB and quality striker/forward depth.

Speaking of the latter… I would not be opposed to Depay. Especially if Stevie B stays. Depay wouldn’t be that expensive. Loads of experience and seems like a hard worker (though I could be wrong).
