Can't say I'm enjoying the Conte experience so far - I'm sure he'll turn it around eventually but this is a pretty rough ride.

We can continually ship players out but eventually we need a well coached and organized team. And someone who can instill belief. Seeing Ndombele, Lo Celso and Gil immediately looking better in different teams (albeit different leagues) is frustrating.

It is weird how even top managers just persist with something that cleaely doesnt work and with players who are clearly not up to it.

We most definitely did improve the squad. I get being disappointed in todays result but some of this shit is just stupid. Bentancur looks our best midfielder, kulusevski today showed more attacking intent than Lo Celso, dele have in months. We were never going to add 6 new players in January.

Bentancur looks good.
That was the one positive.

Such a disappointment. Really gutted that we can't ever exceed or even match expectations. There's such a systemic problem with our club. Really feels like time for change of ownership.

How is it conte fault? Did he make lloris make 2 amateur mistakes? Or winks, Sanchez, Doherty lose the ability to play the ball to their team mates or for us to miss chance after chance

Same players did ok after the formation change. Conte should know that those players can't play together in a back three, and that two in midfield would never be good enough. He's held onto two in midfield and three up top for a long time now, while it's obvious we have no control in midfield.

Conte comes with a big reputation and he needs to produce. He has supposedly evaluated his squad and we are left with this. How can anybody not realise just how bad Doherty is? These players are an utter disgrace. So sick of this team. Following them has to be the most depressing hobby there is. No fun at Tottenham now.

Two home games and the chance to pull ourselves up the table, and we couldn't do it. What chance CL next season.....NONE

Who else could do it though?.How many coaches do we go through?

As Conte himself has said on multiple occasions, it will take years and several transfer windows to get back to where we were under Poch. We aren't very good at that won't change next week, next month, or come the end of the season. If nothing else, accepting that fact will make these shit performances and results a little bit easier to stomach.

Out with the shit players and replace them with youth players. If we are writing off this season I rather see players who give a shit and might be useful in the long run.
That's fine.

The difference between 6th and 9th is about £10m in Premier League prize money, £35m in prize money and matchday revenues from the Europe League assuming you reach the R16, £5m in reduced Champions League money distributed based on coefficients each time you qualify for the following five seasons, a harder draw if and when you do make it meaning getting out of the group is much harder, and whatever reduced transfer value of the first-teamers you've dropped plus the possibility of having to continue paying their wages if they're now unmoveable. In total then, £45m up front, with tens of millions in potential future impacts. We spend what we earn, so that money comes directly out of the budget to spend on the squad. It could mean, for instance, selling Bentancur and Bergwijn and relying on Harvey White and Nile John instead for those positions next season instead when we will very much be competing for the Top 4, or alternatively having another very frugal summer. Oh, and it also reduces the chances of Top 4 and a cup this season from slim to none.

Still sound really clever?

I'm all for playing youth when the manager thinks they've earnt it and they're ready. Not throwing them in as a knee-jerk reaction to a bad week.

Well that was shite, another L incoming next week, what a shit show of a season ?
This time last week we were aiming for 4th and yet today end up 8th.
No wonder we are laughed at arsenal, west ham can fill their boots on the amount of comedy we provide.
At least our club provides us with humour to keep us all going.
