Levy needs to accept short term losses on a lot of these players just to get them out. If he doesnt, we will all continue to suffer for many years to come.

I honestly don’t think people realise how embarrassing this defeat is. It’s genuinely not a stretch to say it’s one of the most embarrassing defeats in our history. An utter fucking embarrassment.

Massively embarrassing! This is like losing to League one team! Not a single player deserves any credit at all. Lacklustre performance from the lot of them!

The only positive from tonight is if Conte had any doubts over some he wanted gone, I’m sure it’s firmed it up for him now!
Ain't happening. Mission impossible so he has torn up his contract and is heading to Man Utd!

Serious question, who would you keep from that squad?
Kane, Dier, lloris, moura, regi, holberg, son, Royal, romero.
The rest can fuck.
Hojbjerg and Son have been alarmingly bad recently as well - topped off by their unfathomably poor cameos tonight. It’s hard to know who is just crushed by lack of confidence and direction and who is completely shot

Instead of everyone providing different solutions. Can someone explain what happens if we beat Rennes and Vitesse beat Mura?

Ok i've checked it will go down to goal difference if we are on equal points, as we are tied with Vitesse on head to head (away goals don't count anymore).

Teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams are tied on points, the following tiebreaking criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings (see Article 16 Equality of points – group stage, Regulations of the UEFA Europa Conference League):[2]

  1. Points in head-to-head matches among the tied teams;
  2. Goal difference in head-to-head matches among the tied teams;
  3. Goals scored in head-to-head matches among the tied teams;
  4. If more than two teams are tied, and after applying all head-to-head criteria above, a subset of teams are still tied, all head-to-head criteria above are reapplied exclusively to this subset of teams;
  5. Goal difference in all group matches;
  6. Goals scored in all group matches;
  7. Away goals scored in all group matches;
  8. Wins in all group matches;
  9. Away wins in all group matches;
  10. Disciplinary points (direct red card = 3 points; double yellow card = 3 points; single yellow card = 1 point);
  11. UEFA club coefficient.
Due to the abolition of the away goals rule, head-to-head away goals are no longer applied as a tiebreaker starting from this season. However, total away goals are still applied as a tiebreaker.[7]

Not out of it yet lol

Bloody hell dier!
it was Dier that lost the ball, it was Ben Thatcher.
I don't understand the logic of them playing side passes at the back with no intention to pass through the pressing lines. I don't think Conte did not coach these, perhaps not yet. But at least the rest of the 19 teams in league have no problem doing these basics yet we are struggling immensely.

Why is it so hard for our midfielders to run into space to receive a pass? IS DAMN INFURIATING

I wanted us to go all out to win this competition but every single player below our best five or six has proved that they're not up for a long slog though Europe to do so.

Disgraceful attitude and application.
I honestly didn't want to bother with it. Once we was in it I figured at least it gives game time to the squad players and an opportunity for the new manager to assess them. There's no need for either of those now so I'm back looking forward to clear mid weeks after Christmas to concentrate on our league position and the FA Cup.
I'm perfectly happy to go out.

I feel bad for Conte cause his name is attached to it but it's not in him.

Once again a coach gives these players a chance and they do nothing with it.

Fuck him off back to Norwich and let him excel there. People are wishing and hoping he'll magically turn in to some Mason Mount type and take the league by storm. He won't.
Don't be fucking daft, Skipp is nothing like the same type of player as Mount.
If you're setting your expectations of him to be an attacking midfielder, then your going to be massively disappointed.
I honestly don't understand what some people expect from a 21 year old defensive midfielder?!!

I’m glad someone isn’t a fucking Neanderthal and is able to see what I’m saying. I’m not crying Conte out. Im saying he’s made a poor start. There are mitigating factors (e.g. the squad being fucking losers) but he obviously isn’t motivating these squad players any better than Nuno did.
I think these “squad players” all still have delusions of grandeur and think they are too good to be playing in this competition so don’t use it as a platform to get into the league team, which they should. They just “phone it in”. I don’t think it’s a reflection of Conte, it the psyche of these players. Dele would probably rather be at home playing Fortnite than travelling out there and it shows.
