That's what trophies mean. You win it, you're the best. Simples. Chelsea are the best team in Europe, and I hope that makes everyone involved at the club angry enough to reverse the situation.
So judging by that sentiment, Chelsea are the best team in Europe but not England as City won the league and Leicester won the FA Cup

We still don't seem to press as a team or even know when the right time to press is.

When the Chelsea commentator is feeling sorry for us - you really know we've hit rock-bottom.

Looked like what it is, Champions league team vs Conference league team. Dier and Tanganga definitely not a partnership, but then I have no understanding why Dier is still at the club, nowhere near good enough. Moura having one of those games where it all goes wrong, which he does all to often. Dele in the middle is a disaster, struggling badly and nowhere near enthusiastic enough working back. Doherty has no business near our starting 11 and Son struggling to play the main striker role v a very good Rudiger.
If anything this will confirm the upgrades that are urgently required, ASAP.

You mean champions league winners, big difference.

Sadly so true. Players cost Pochettino and mourinho there job now nuno prob lose his job due to these jokes of players, not even good enough for mid table teams bar a select few. Sad times hope fabio brings in more players need atleast another 3 or 4.
@oshman you must enjoy watching our team play like this and think they are world beaters?

Yeah that's the more worrying thing. I'm hoping it's just through lacking a solid base but we should be able to pressure Chelsea more than this.

I really hope Gollini isn’t going to face the same tirade of tiresome twattish bollocks about how every goal he concedes was easily save-able which Joe Hart got on here every time he played.

It's 45 minutes. It's pre-season. It's away at Chelsea. We're missing over half of our first team.

There's OBVIOUSLY fuckloads of work to be done, but we needn't shit our collective trousers just yet.

If we still look this shit 7 or 8 games into the season once everyone's back and Nuno's had more time, that's when I'll start to get worried.
Are we though really, whos missing that you would say is a definite starter, not including kane who dont want to be here. Ndombele hasnt managed a decent 90 minutes since we signed him, lo celso still hasnt really cemented a place in the team.
Still early days and PEH for example will still be getting up to match sharpness but for me at most we are only missing 3 or 4 max that would be playing based on our current squad and thats being generous

I don’t want to overreact because Reguilon is the only defender playing today who will be in our best XI, we’re playing with a makeshift CM because GLC and Tanguy are not yet available, and we haven’t got Kane (or his replacement). There are worrying signs, yes, but we’re in for a long season of transition and most of the pieces who will make up that transition are not on the pitch.
