Every day I am more and more baffled by the powers that be in this sport.
Ndombele has scored 1 less goal than Martial this season...

Of course, but there's also football managers who make some really moronic decisions. Like one we've had around here recently who I think most on this forum realized at the time were really bad choices. Here's a thought, maybe professional coaches know more than SC, crazy I know hey...

YesIs Deschamps clueless then?
Do you really think that Ndombele is worse player than Matuidi, Sissoko and Rabiot who are likely to be called up by him?*Breaking news random bloke on SC says World Cup winning coach doesn't have a clue*
Love this place sometimes
Clueless no but capable of making wrong decisions absolutely. Is Deschamps clueless then?

Ndombele can play very good in 1 positions, something Sissoko can't. We all know that previously it was about his fitness, which isn't the probalem now + Sissoko last few weeks/months plays much less than in the past.I think there's much more to it that casual football fans don't get to see.
Poch, Jose (initially) and Deschamps have all picked Sissoko over Ndombele numerous times which tells you a lot. We all know that Ndombele has much more ability than Sissoko but does he have a better mentality than Sissoko, is he more reliable than Sissoko, can he play in multiple position unlike Sissoko?
Worse player? No.Do you really think that Ndombele is worse player than Matuidi, Sissoko and Rabiot who are likely to be called up by him?
Why not?Contribute as much during a month long tournament? Again, possibly, no.

I think it's the flashes-of-brilliance against steady/workhorse-performance argument.Why not?
The problem is Ndombele hasn't played very good in 1 position for about 3 months, I'm a huge Ndombele fan but it's damming that he he can't even get into this current Spurs team who see more of the ball and play with the shackles off now.
All the clue's are there if you care to look for them.
Well maybe because Mason actually said he had a knock? Spurs have played 36 PL games, he played in 32, started 28 of them.I will be more blunt than that.
Ndom can't even start for a Spurs team that might not get into Europe.
Has not looked match fit when called upon in the late stages of recent PL games.

Knock? lol He's been on the bench
It's obvious that he currently doesn't show enough whether that's down to him or our situation as a club it's obviously not been good enough for Mason and now Deschamps, having said that I'm willing to give him another year at Spurs because as a club the last two seasons we've been an absolute clusterfuck of a team - I think he still has huge potential and needs a manager to work with him to unlock it.
