Oops
You just need someone to come in, free the shackles, put an arm around them, make them express themselves and we'll have a completely different mind set and approach. Whether it brings positive results, who know, but at least we can start to play expansive football that is far more suited to this group of players.Who is there though? We missed the boat on Tuchel. Allegri and Benitez are also all out defence. Can't think of anyone with getting who's available mid season.
lolNot sure what game you watched mate but never mind
Said it in the match thread yesterday, it looks to me like the players aren’t picking up what he’s putting down. Smacks of a manager that’s lost the dressing room and is throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks. Sissoko at right back, Doherty on the left wing, etc etc. There didn’t seem to be any plan in possession yesterday, and the defence looked like they had been organised by a blind man.
It would be great to hear some itk saying otherwise or indeed that Levy sees the problems. It’s telling that Levy won’t sell Dele imo, obviously sees Mourinho as short term.
Well I'm not guessing if that's what you are asking. Is this ITK that things are ‘happening’?
I am starting to feel the same except I thought he was the right appointment.I've backed him to the hilt on here despite not really being overly happy with his appointment, but it all has an ominous feel to it at the moment. We've seen this film before. It feels like the wheels are wobbling.
It pains me to say it but I am losing faith.
Bielsa? Biggest myth in football.
I have watched some of their games this season and some of their play has been good on the eye, so yes, it's been enjoyable.Do you enjoy watching leeds? I certainly do and they certainly spanked Leicester yesterday in their first season in the league for 20 years. im not seeing the myth. Im seeing entertaining football punching above its station is that not what we aim for? Or are we obsessed with shiny pieces of tin that are out of our financial ambition to reach and in doing so sacrificing our pride in our team which I for one always had under Poch trophies or not?
It's a difficult one. I've rarely enjoyed watching us play "good football" and lose.I have watched some of their games this season and some of their play has been good on the eye, so yes, it's been enjoyable.
But,
Why shouldn't we be wanting shiny bits of tin? You want to watch your team win, winning can equate to shiny bits of tin, ergo why thumb your nose at it?
People in here have complained about the investment and lack of investment within the club over the years, why are they bothering to do either if the aim isn't to eventually win something?
I am starting to feel the same except I thought he was the right appointment.
When Poch started to wobble I kept asking for more time. It got to the stage where I lost faith he'd turn it around.
The players don't appear to be following his instructions. He might not have lost the dressing room but Jose is a tactical manager, if they aren't going to do as he asks then he is on borrowed time.
Some of that I agree with but I still think the summer window was good. Surely Regi and PEH have to be considered successful transfers. Vini I think for what we have outlayed so far is a free hit. I think there is a player in there if he gets the opportunities. Bale while expensive is a player 95% of fans wanted. So only Docherty has this far been a failure as far as we've bought him and it's not working.
Can we have a 'Next Manager' discussion thread? We had one last year when we looked shit
Unfortunately yes.
Player power rules!!!
Is this ITK that things are ‘happening’?
Concerning if we’ve reached this point... but if we want that thread then we already have it. It’s called the ‘Jose Mourinho’ thread and it started back when he was appointed ?.Well I'm not guessing if that's what you are asking.
This is how I feel about the situation too. I'm not going to rage out over it because honestly I don't think the main issue is the manager. Didn't think it was the case with Pochettino and I don't believe it now either. The issue is the quality of the squad. We are basically walking down the same path Arsenal did after the Emirates was built. One by one our stars will move on and the likes of Aurier, Winks, Dier, Sanchez, Lamela and Sissoko will still be regular starters, even though they have proved, over and over again, that they are not good enough for what we claim to be our goal.I've backed him to the hilt on here despite not really being overly happy with his appointment, but it all has an ominous feel to it at the moment. We've seen this film before. It feels like the wheels are wobbling.
It pains me to say it but I am losing faith.
I didn't say that. I just said it was a bad idea to change managers at this stage of an already disruptive season. So let's say we finish 6th and win the Carabao. You give him a new deal. Happy for another 2-3 years of this football?
You'll be in the smallest of minorities.
