Winks first assist in 18 months I’ve read. Shame it was to the opposition.

It’s easy to pick on people when we are all pissed off but for me, and not just today, Winks is not good enough. I know he’s come through the system but he wouldn’t get so much time if he hadn’t. I’d move him on and when Gio is fit he should struggle to make the 18.

Well, that's made me break my posting hiatus......

Really I want to question all those who were going 'amazing first half'. Get fucking real, it was a lethal opening first 15 mins, after that it was rubbish stuff. Even as the first half went on we were wide open, had often four stood up doing fuck all defensively, less than diligent in our application, and were giving West Ham encouragement they could grab some goals back. The second half was just more of the same but worse. All round fucking lazy stuff. And no one did anything about it.

Mourinho never got a grip either tbh, we were going through the motions and nothing changed from the sidelines, some subs happened (mainly as if they were scripted - Bale, Moura - whether necessary/needed/wise or not), we still went through the motions, eventually it got punished.

The goals were perfect examples of an hour plus of laziness and taking our eye off it. Sissoko just doesn't bother challenging with his man. The second I see everyone blaming Sanchez - more like Moura has been on the pitch 2 minutes and just doesn't bother to go back in with his man and leaves him to nobody and so they're at point blank range firing a ball across the face of goal. Ok the third is a wonder goal, but we see idiotic players giving away the ball and giving away dumb free kicks to invite more pressure. These were just a late punishment of stuff we'd been doing for most of the game by that point.

The ending might have been freak, plus Bale really should have wrapped it, but we got punished for as a collective doing nothing to tighten up and kept inviting West Ham to get back into the game, increasingly stopped playing, and eventually got a massive punch about the face for 75 minutes of relative shit.

In general everyone has been buzzing (mainly due to one result and transfer junkie cravings being fulfilled) but I don't particularly like what I have seen so far and find it really unconvincing still. Lethal on the fast transitions in a few phases of play, but really this is more Redknapp-esque chaos open bollocks football than anything else - which I never thought I'd say about a Mourinho team. We'll score plenty, but we look wide open to also get fucked a plenty whenever the opposition has the ball. Even against United the first 25 mins it was end to end chaos, where every pass for both teams got them through midfield and at the back four, until they spectacularly imploded. You might have some good days playing like this, and murder cannon fodder opposition, but I don't see it achieving much ultimately. We must tighten up, and must control games better.

I don’t understand how we revert to ten men behind the ball and letting the opposition attack just when we are three up and totally dominating the game. W Ham just grew and grew in confidence as we put ourselves under pressure
Because everyone had stopped running and showing, and were just jogging around not really wanting the ball, and that was compounded by the three subs that just stretched us more and left us more open.
May as well have bought Vinicius on to hold the ball and get us further up the pitch than Moura or a 50% fit Bale.

Add in the stupid decisions of Sissoko, Aurier and Sanchez and the rest is absolute garbage.

Then at 3-1 we just went into panic mode, no movement no one showing for the ball so we were just giving it straight back to them.

Fucking depressing end to what should have been a rout.

Sanchez really need to step up or be sold. His progress after the first season with us has been a disaster. Making a lot of mistakes.
Aurier made a stupid free kick before the end of the first half and does it again before the end of the game. How we managed to lose this game is a mystery.

Think a draw was a fair result. Being that we spent the last 60 minutes of the game like a gentle training kick around

stunning arrogance from our players. Got what they deserved

I'm not gonna feel safe with any lead we have now, doesn't matter if we're 10-0 up with five minutes left, regardless of the opposition, anything can fucking happen clearly.

For me, Sissoko, Winks and Aurier were worse. Sissoko, Aurier giving ridiculous fouls away all over the pitch. Winks, fucking hell. We lost all semblance of control when he came on and he set up Lanzini for the jammiest, sweetest strike of the ball he’ll ever have... when all he needed to do was smash it down the pitch.

We've been shit for a couple of season now. And things just don't feel as bad when you're shit. But getting this in the face when things are generally looking rosy is incredibly painful. I'm getting CL final flashbacks from this.
It’s so odd, first half I enjoyed a lot and was finally starting to really warm to Jose and this style of football. We were fast, played nice one touch football and had control of the ball most of the time. Then second half I was reminded why I dislike him, it was the same stale long hoof ball tactics that is so easy to take advantage of followed by some poor subs. I really hope we move on from this in a positive fashion but this was a bad result that shows our soft underbelly again. Without Lo Celso or Ndombele we look so so poor.

We learnt nothing from the Newcastle game and I wouldn’t be surprised if this shit happens again.

Should’ve/could’ve. Hopefully a lesson learned. Rested on our laurels.
I’m very pessimistic it will actually result in any lessons being learned. You’d think that would have happened after West Ham last season, or after Newcastle a few weeks ago. We’re absolutely fucking woeful at seeing games out, I don’t see it changing until the individual defenders at fault for the stupid errors are out of the team.

Massive disappointment. When bale came on it seemed the players were trying hard to get him the ball or a goal and we just took our foot of the gas.

That’s not on Jose tbh. Those are all individual avoidable mistakes. Two free kicks given away not defended amazingly and one OG which should be headed out of touch. 3-0 up at home against any team you should be able to see it out with 80 mins on the clock. We’ve just unfortunately bought a lot of duds over the last 5 years.

Its Mourinhos mentality that's causing this. Yes, certain players made mistakes. But the truth is that we gave away the possession in the 2nd half. The result was many corners and free kicks in dangerous areas. And considering we're weak at set pieces, his tactic is beyond stupid. Our centre backs can't dominate their own box. If we kept possession and tried to attack more they wouldn't get that kind of pressure and the 3 points would be ours.

Fucking weak mentality bunch of pussies and the spammers always push harder against us.

Wish they’d just fuck off and get relegated as only purpose they serve in league is to piss us off.

Also bothered me that José and especially Sacramento were telling the players to calm down since the 25th minute, that's very rarely having a positive effect on the performance and on certain days it's even asking for trouble.
