This guy can play all right!

Keep this up Tanguy because if you can marry game management, intensity with the technical side then he truly will be the player we thought we were buying and will be a massive part of our success.

Definitely not too proud to say he's now starting to prove me wrong.

Couldn't be happier to be proven wrong. I'd given up on him after the ITK we got at the beginning of preseason but he is showing us what he is capable of. Going to be absolutely massive for us if he stays on his current trajectory.

You could see he was in pain at the end, and each chase down was hurting, and he kept on doing it at 90 mins. Mourinho must be loving that.

Those are the sort of things that are going to keep elevating those fitness levels. You don't get fit by going through the paces over 90 minutes, it's those interval sprints that really get your overall fitness to the higher level.

Things are definitely moving in the right direction with Tanguy. You can see he has the ability, and the strength. Reminds me of Dembele actually, think others have said the same. If he can get his fitness there, we do have a hell of a player.

Well well well. He's certainly emerging from his shell.

What I liked was his demeanour. Lots of talking, pointing and all backed up with a decent performance and work rate.

We have a player now.

The two 90+ minute matches not only will improve his fitness, but help convince him he is truly recovered from his niggling injuries, and that he can give 100% without having to worry he'll come up lame.

He has what Dembele had but has the vision and technique to pull off key passes, Dembele never had that.
