They’re just doing what they always do with Woodward. Negotiate badly then pay the asking.
Yep. We all know Dortmund aren't going to budge on the asking price - whether it's the last day of the window or not. They should have just signed him early on rather than go through with all this posturing.

Woodward is essentially a Btec version of Levy.

Really wonder what Wolves have planned.

Selling some key players this summer and have only really shelled out huge for an 18 year old. Have to imagine there would be a lot more coming from them.

That journo tweet (previous page) said signed contract. So either hes lying or got mixed up

Think he's mixed up and the incorrect wording is being used, e.g. Mirror report.

A lot of these journo's imply that personal terms are done at the same time clubs are negotiating when we know the reality that they're done b4 any bidding starts.

It probably will happen but no fee agreed as yet.

Seems very commonplace now that players agree deals with clubs before a fee is agreed, didn't they used to call that tapping up? I suppose now it goes on so much that clubs are powerless to stop it. Agents of players and clubs are in constant contact with each other so I'm guessing this goes on in literally every deal...just seems strange how everyone nowadays seems to accept it, this wouldn't have been so accepted across the board say a decade ago.

Any idea as to where? He’s a great player, Wolves’ biggest threat.

he even a guaranteed starter at Wolves? he’s inconsistent and not played well most of last season, He’s probably behind podence snd neto for a starting place. €43m for a sub is a huge amount of money. Nuno seems to trust Neto and Podence more.

True about the money for a sub, but if he does find consistency he could be immense. To add to that even when things aren't working for him he's got that Lamela desire.

Callum Hudson Odoi unhappy with game time at Chelski. Lamps giving him tough love. Bayern circling again. Truly don't understand the advice that some of these players get. Bayern wanted him, he wanted to go, signs a 5 year contract in late 2019 when he was months
from being able to sign a pre-contract with them. Instead he gets bought into the hype, is locked in and will now likely be sold for a large fee

It isn't tapping up if the selling club has given the buyer permission to speak to the player while the clubs haggle over the transfer fee. But you're right, tapping up in one form or another goes on all the time today and who knows how much happens via private social media channels, it's almost impossible to keep track of it now.

But here's the thing, I don't think that happens, it's not as if Dortmund gave Sancho permission to speak to Man Utd for example and they apparantely agreed personal terms?
