I am too just really curious as to how Jose will play. With the signing of Bale, everyone is mentioning how good a front 3 of Kane, Son and Bale would be in a 4-4-3, but I just really hope Jose doesn't persist with what he has been so far with the 4-2-3-1 and have Dele in there....

I think we need a change of shape and approach even more or as much as an upgrade of personal.

We would be amazing in a 443. Would be like having an extra man on the pitch at all times.

If we don’t improve quite drastically we need to sack him, no one should be able to protect him if we keep playing this bad even after the signings

We create nothing, he has no idea how to set up a attack without counter attack

I am no fan of Mourinho.

I know Levy won't sack him so it's pointless to clamour for it.

But life under him is going to be miserable.

The whole Amazon doc was basically Mourinho shouting at this lot about sloppiness and lack of drive and commitment. That was 6 months ago. How much of it actually went in? Is it actually Mourinho or is it his players?

Of course it’s the players, they were exactly the same under Poch. Why do we think Mourinho is trying to change almost the whole first 11.

I was really shocked at how uninspiring his team talks came across.

I mean hes arguably the best manager of all time and his team talks came across as him rambling on as the players looked bored.

But yes it does seem that whatever tactics he's trying to play arent coming across well.

None of them should have a starting spot anymore.
And they won't if Tanguy is indeed beginning to pull his finger out. They're all perfectly good squad players though.

Edit: @dtxspurs, you've already "agreed", but I'm about to add a bit that might make you reconsider - I think Dele has plenty of potential to get back to the level he was at before. Possibly in a slightly different capacity, starting a bit deeper, but there's no way I'm writing him off just yet.

He needs to do a lot of work with the teams mentality, last two games have been disappointing viewing, hopefully the two signings tomorrow can kick the players into gear.

Trust in the process.

We saw tonight a new shape, when you consider we have two new signings who instantly improve us and when Tanguy is fully fit he will start instead of Sissoko that is a really good team.

Some players are still settling and are a little rusty but we actually created some decent chances, should of had a pen.

I have always said I back Jose but after Sunday I was nervous. The manager is being backed and we need to back him aswell.

If we aren't competitive after the new players arrive and settle by all means let's shout from the rooftops. Tonight we did what was needed, it is one leg we cannot go gung go.

I disagree. Judging by the best performances we've seen under Mourinho, I actually like the tactics I think he would want to play with. I'm wondering if they are making it a bit too complicated or that there is another obstacle in terms of getting the right understanding throughout the squad.
Sorry guys but I would rather go to the dentist than let mourinho ruin what I’ve loved about spurs for over 50 years
I know his trophy record but my life this football is dire (as well as Dier is well dire) but come on this ain’t knee jerk where’s the progress
i haven’t posted for ages but feel so wound up by the style of play had to post today

if I’m proved wrong by end of season I’ll hold my hands up but so far it’s George Graham football on depressants ,,

The thing is, even if he fucks this up with a chonic lack of any attacking coaching and gets sacked, we’ve generally signed good players and the squad is being refreshed. A progressive coach should be able to come in and get us playing well pretty easily.

A question to all.

Do you think he will turn this round?

I cant shake the feeling that were waiting for the inevitable.

Really hard to call, think the mentality and attitude of some players is not there and they haven't improved under him so far. However I think we are backing him and for the first time in a long time we will have both a strong XI and squad.

Think we will know more by the end of this busy run, if we kick on I think it will galvanise the squad.
