It’s such a balancing act, as the cost of not getting top 4 or a good few cup runs or god forbid a beautiful shiny ? could far outweigh the extra money needed to get a quality player. We have a fair few days left in the window but once again a small knock (or worse!) to Son and Kane coupled worth a hectic schedule means we could be out of the races before they even properly start. The other issue is getting players in later means they have to hit the ground running pretty quickly with little time to assimilate.

i have some questions for you

why are you such a f**king horrible bloke? i am fortunate I am 6-1 and 220 pounds and can handle myself but many others are not and you have forced many others off this board with your vileness, like most bullies you are no doubt a coward in real life, in the seconds i approach you in the stadium will see how many of the lovely things you have called me on here and accused me of you have to say in person , no doubt you will hide behind your mates and try and leg it out the exits but heres the thing im also f**king fast

and if you think one lousy PM makes up for months of abuse and snide digs dream on you are a pos

As for the having a beer and we would probably get on in real life bollocks, dream on mate you look like a kenny sansom meth addict who has just rolled off the park bench

Our track record with strikers since Berba is awful. Can you imagine what a mess we’d be in if Kane hadn't come through.

I was not convinced by Watkins as he didn’t seem to fit the very particular type of strikerJose likes as Levy alluded to in All or Nothing. Can’t see Jiminez coming off.

I also think we should try and change the narrative about any striker being a back up to Kane to one where he plays with him as Kane can play 10. Need to start succession planning for Kane and Son really.

If age is right, profile right etc, we WOULD spend decent in excess of 25m for a striker. There are 2 certains (meaning talks) taking place with two non-English strikers, age between 21 & 25. If?! We could wrap one up we would do it. As per Goat’s last bleat yesterday I believe, we are in talks there also. Striker names been mentioned on here by others. Not Olly Watkins btw. We did talk to Brentford, but Villa came in OTT.

very confident three more signings will come through, Kim (extremely high possibility-but caution) Creative offensive midfielder, and Striker. My two punts would be CH & ST as certains ?

Appreciate the info, would be a ridiculously impressive window, important to not get carried away and expect it all to come off though.

thanks herc. Not going to speculate but the 2 non-english strikers aged 21 and 25 have presumably been mentioned loads given the ages match. The 21yr old everyone's been touching themselves about all day for example. I guess it's a lower price striker (£11m was it?) and a better price midfielder or vice versa if the striker is 25-30m.

If I understand Herc right, Kim would be the CH (centre half) as a highly probable signing - the window there’s not open yet so we can’t rush it.

The creative midfielder... Well, we certainly need one, but I can only imagine that’s a signing for if Ndombele is leaving.

Window doesn’t need to be open in China for us to sign Kim.
