No but there has been times where we've been under a bit of pressure and that pressure has forced us to do a decent bit of business or a bigger deal than we'd like. We got Son when the Berahino deal was falling apart. We got Eriksen when Willian deal went to shit. We got Sissoko after we missed out on Mane (not saying Sissoko is a better deal I'm just showing we had our hand forced into big business). I hope this is one of these times.

No point getting mad just yet, the reality is, the backup striker probably didn't need pre-season with us because he can get acclimatised during this cup period through September.

We’ve had ITK from JJ saying a striker is close. I’m going to trust that until I hear otherwise.

People need to chill out and stop taking every piece of info as gospel. All info is passed onto us in good faith but I refuse to believe that we won't sign a striker.

As the ITK suggests, we are supposedly looking at a £40m striker if we can get the right price. That doesn't scream to me like we have no money. If the right striker comes along, I have no doubt we will sign them for the right price.

What will be will be, but there is no chance we don't sign a striker over the next few weeks.

The issue isn't no money, but doing deals at the right money. If the right player is available at the right price we'll do it it would seem.

A lot of these players we are being linked with as targets are just if's and maybe's. Just names on a list of possibilities. It's the same every window. We make enquired about a lot of players just to see the lie of the land should things not progress with our more favorable options. All of a sudden it turns into "being out bid by team x,y and z) when the truth is all we've done is ask to be kept in the loop just in case.

Honestly I'm more confident we will get what we need this window, more than any other in the last 10 years.

Let's hope a striker comes in early enough that Kane doesn't get injured during the awful schedule at the beginning of the season.

Thanks for trying to calm some on here with that @Trix

Unfortunately some still won't listen and will still go on mini meltdowns and this will get worse the closer we get to end of window if their preferred targets aren't signed.
