Can't see anyone willing to stump up the cash for TN who's permanently injured (?) and is prepared to chuck in the towel at the slightest opportunity. I'd like something back for the 10m he's had off us in wages, and I'm sure Levy would too. I think he'll still be with us this season under the circumstances. Hopefully he'll grow up and grow a pair.

It also means we need another CM, in addition to the other areas of our squad that needs addressing.
Depends what you mean by central midfielder as we do have depth already in there. I would take a creative number 10 in his place though.

Does Levy want the cash only or is he willing to take a part ex? If it’s cash only then we’ll struggle to shift him whereas if it’s a part ex or a direct swap then there’s much chance of getting rid of him. I know part ex’s used to be difficult to do but then Covid happened. With the current financial restraints you would expect clubs to be more open up swapping players. It would also fall under the trending ‘creative’ approach to transfers.

Tanguy barely played a part in our best form of the season, and it seems the player wants to go and the manager wants him out. If we can get our money back, then great. I’d be fine with a slight hit, as this could mean us getting a quality replacement like Sabitzer. Or a swap deal that we think matches our value. The player needs to change his attitude and mentality massively to make a successful career, and good luck to him as it clearly hasn’t worked out here.

All of the ITK though seems to say that Levy like most fans can see talent there and wants to try to bring it out. Jose on the other hand see's things like a lack of application and desire and after 6-8 months of trying, the player hasn't improved that side of things.

We have to sell in order to buy. We have 6 players all capable of playing the #8 role (GLC, Winks, Gedson, N'Dombele, Sissoko and Hojbjerg) yet have only one player capable of playing a defensive role alone (Hojbjerg). N'Dombele is attracting attention and doesn't want to be here, selling makes sense.

I don't like it either, but our squad is a mess and we need money to fix it. Getting rid of a potentially disruptive element for good money will go a long way to fixing some of our deficiencies.

Bale is not coming. Forget all the shit posted in the press we haven't enquired. We haven't even made any sort of contact with Bale or his people.

We have a plan for this window and it's not going to change. It's about balance and filling the squad in the right way.

I’m sorry, the second bit was about Ndombele. I know Bale isn’t happening. Not because I’m ITK but my brain hasn’t fallen out of my butt. Yet.

Very pleased to see the news that we will now sell TN, given that the bloke can't be arsed to play football for us (yet somehow is still idolised by many). Absolute waste of space who could possibly go on to have a fantastic career elsewhere, but who could also end up an absolute nobody due to his attitude. Game is littered with players like him and it's far far better for our club that he is moved on and someone who wants to give his all comes in to replace him.

Sure it'll suck a bit if he ends up tearing it up at Barcelona or somewhere but if we get the right player/s in with the funds his sale generates then i couldn't give a toss what he does in future.

And just for comparison, look how hard Gedson and some of the other 'lesser' lights worked yesterday to try and earn their place in our team. Give me them all day long, rather than an out of shape lump coasting along for 90 mins with the odd step over thrown in for his youtube reel.

Best get those YouTube videos pulled somehow if we actually are trying to shift him on.

So depressing about TN, have been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but I think I’ve heard enough from ITKs to safely lose faith. Hope we get rid ASAP though not to a prem team as that could be doubly humiliating.

Replace with Sabitzer please.

I think we need both We have depth in CM, but I’m not convinced they are good enough really.

Not good news about TN, had always hoped it was his entourage pushing but seems he wants out himself ☹
Meh, get rid if he wants out. Obviously hasn't got the mentality or attitude to overcome his perceived hurdles & make the most of his career. Another silly young lad who will never realise his potential!

I won’t lie... seriously sad to hear the TN news. But not surprised. Hard to see how he was going to break thru with Jose. i get a sinking feeling DL won’t get what he paid. Maybe this will have to be one of those creative scenarios, where we loan the player out for two years, as a part of bringing a replacement in. As based on his aptitude last season, I’d guess those that could afford him will be wary. Huge red flags all around him now. Certainly can’t see this one being taken care of prior to the end of Sept. Which could also hamstring our business. The whole thing is a rather annoying mess.

Would be fine with selling TN if I was confident we'd reinvest the 40/50m on a top class replacement but I'm not so personally I'd rather he stayed.

Will be very interesting to see what happens though, seems most of the ITKs agree that he's in the window now.

Such depressing news on Tanguy. By far and away our most gifted midfielder in my opinion. Was really hoping José would want to get a tune out of him, but not surprised he doesn’t like him given the style of play.

If he really isn’t wanted by the manager then he should get out, he’ll be one of the worlds best CMs somewhere.
Says who?

Anyway, Give me a player who has less of his talent but 100% winning mentality than a guy who just goes through the motions and isn't prepared to put his body on the line.

I've been of the opinion of selling him for a while now, I believe if we can get the money in for him and sign Skriniar or Sabitzer or other players who are not as good with the ball but have more character then we need to 100% do it.

United didn't back Jose over Pogba because they believed he was too talented, dismissing players like Perisic and other big game players in the meantime.

If Jose doesn't see the mentality in him, let's be honest, he's probably right.

Selling him though is a completely different issue.

If the money was used in whatever way JM sees fit it would be better than him staying.

If Mourinho doesn't believe in him now, and still isn't impressed with his attitude, since he came in, it's not going to change now.

Best to cut our losses and sell.

Genuinely gutted it hasn't worked out with Tanguy, the boy has talent in abundance, would have really transformed our midfield if he was on it.
