For those without Twitter:

Josip Sutalo is getting closer and closer to
@AFCAjax! We bring you EXCLUSIVE photos from Maksimir where @AFCAjax sporting director Sven Mislintat spoke with @gnkdinamo representatives last two and half hours!

Ugggh. If we aren’t sure we can get Tapsoba or Laporte we really ought to be pouncing here. Very reasonable price would be under 30M and could slot right in.

Given the relative financial disparity between the leagues, you’d assume we could compete against Ajax, if we actually wanted to.

Arsenal have bid for sutalo now, as have Bayer leverkusen.

if we are pulling away from the Tapsoba deal then we should be all over this for the £20m fee.

he’s a really good cb.

I can’t believe we’re not all over this. Absolute steal at this price.

only thing that makes any sense is if BL have agreed behind the scenes to sell us Tap if they can get this guy in as the replacement.

honestly think I’d rather have him at 25 than Tap at 65

Translation below

Josip Sutalo is leaving Serie A and it will be very difficult for Fiorentina to be able to place the shot to give the player to Vincenzo Italiano in view of next season. According to what was collected by the TMW editorial staff, Dinamo Zagreb will not sell him regardless before the Champions League preliminary, with the Croatians who will be engaged today against Astana in the second round return match but who will then also have to play the third and playoffs, with the last game which will be on August 29, or three days from the end of the summer transfer market.

The Pretenders .
At the moment the Italian teams, Fiorentina in primis but there is also Napoli, are a bit behind and it is therefore complicated that the centre-back can reach Serie A, given that the offers received up to now from Dinamo are judged too low. In the front row there are two German teams, Leipzig, which will make the definitive assault as soon as I have formalized the sale of Gvardiol to Manchester City, and Leverkusen, and two English clubs, including Arsenal, all of which have already passed the threshold of 20 million as a basis. Ajax also remains in the running. Dinamo Zagreb is in no hurry and in the meantime the price of Sutalo rises more and more, thus removing the player from our country.

West Ham.
The other English team interested in Josip Sutalo is instead West Ham, which collected more than 100 million from Arsenal for Declan Rice and could take more in the next few hours for Scamacca, thus having great economic strength to try to take one of the most coveted midfielders in this summer market.

This guy seems to tick a lot of boxes. Big, athletic and comfortable on the ball. For €20m plus addons, feel like if Tapsoba is a no go, we should be looking at this a lot closer, perhaps before Schurr at closer to €30m.
Good mix of anticipation to intercept, sone nice defensive recoveries, and an ability to stride out from the back with confidence.

Bummer. Will be interesting to see how he does there. I feel like they’ll be selling him for 2x what they paid next summer.

I actually think he was the ideal fit as the 3rd frontline CB. Big, powerful, athletic, comfortable on the ball, plays at RCB or LCB. Watch the highlight reels, what he does appear to do well is defend, his reading of attacks and ability to step in and steal the ball rather than last ditch tackles, also defensive headers ahead of the attackers.
