He should have had that with us this season.
Luckily Mourinho gets paid the big dough to make those decisionsBut if you look in the who do we keep there’s a whole loaf of supporters picking him apart because you know, SC.
He also said that they would not stop him leaving if he felt the need to pursue happiness in the form of more minutes. From listening to the entire clip it sounded to me like Jose would happily have Kyle as a backup but would not really be arsed if he left. If Jose really thought he was gonna come back to the club and be first choice next season I think he would have been more explicit in saying that he liked the player, not that the club did.On full-back Kyle Walker-Peters' loan spell with Southampton, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho added: "He's a kid that everyone loves here and Daniel Levy has a special feeling for here. He came here so young, is a kid who has been here for years and years. He's playing well."
Fingers crossed for him next season, although chances are Mourinho's talking out of his arse again like so often with fringe players.
My problem with KWP is that he looks so scrawny and underdeveloped physically compared to most top footballers and certainly most defenders. Not saying he necessarily is, looks can deceive and he might be absolutely hench under the shirt, but that's the impression I get.I've always been a fan of KWP since his academy days - he did ok the other day, and dealt with Sterling very comfortably, but still switched off badly two or three times and was lucky not to be punished.
To be honest he looked like what he is, a rookie who still has barely any senior football matches under his belt and never had a run of games and needs to learn and mature. Problem is though, especially in terms of any possible future with us, he's 23. We should have been watching him have these games like three or four years ago.
Think it would also do his top level prospects much better if he could rediscover his attacking game. He was a really direct runner, super agile dribbler with great close control and would beat people for fun, and play some great little give and go's and get the ball back. Whether it's confidence, step up in quality, or it's being coached out of him I don't know, but at first team level he's only shown the briefest glimpses of that.

But as a like for like replacement for Aurier doing the role Aurier does now with less defensive responsibility, I'd like to see KWP given a proper run.
The way Poch (mis)managed him after his superb debut is still perhaps the most baffling issue of his entire tenure.
