Just like one good game v City didn’t make KWP the answer to all our problems, one bad game tonight doesn’t make him wholly unfit for purpose. My gut tells me he’s not where he needs to be in terms of development and that he’ll have a better career with a move, but that he’s being picked every match is positive because if nothing else he’ll return to us with a greater aptitude for playing football in the premier league. Then it’s for our coaches to deem if they see him as a first choice, rotation or emergency back up option next season, and then for him to decide if he’s happy in whatever role he’s deemed fit for. If not, as I suspect will be the case, hopefully we get him a good move where his career will go better than it has done under our youth stifling philosophy of the past couple of seasons.

It not just one poor game mate he had a good few poor ones for us at the start of the season too! Isn’t good enough hopefully we can get some cash of the hojbjerg deal for him

It’s hardly fair on him to judge him by anything other than a good run of consecutive starts, which he’s now getting.

His hatred of our player has clouded him to unit blindingly obvious sarcasm.
I don't hate anyone not even you. Some of the shit you come out with on a regular basis I don't like as your opinions are blinded by your love for the club.

Or you changing your views on a player again?

Where have I changed my views? I’ve said he’s playing poorly today, he played well last time, on recent form he’s had something to build on till the end of the season and that he was going in the right direction, but tonight’s mistake is good for thought in the opposing sense. Unless you can find an example of me going wildly from one view on him to another, I do believe that you’re just spouting a big old bag of dicks.

I’d be more than happy for you to call me out each and every time you think I’m talking shit so please, from now on do so given how happy you are to make big statements and give big opinions as if they’re facts.

He is such a talented player, on the ball he is top draw, but sadly in modern day football he will be targeted due to his size and lack of aggression.

I still think he will be a very good player, but there is no point bringing him back to play second fiddle. For me I would give him a full season out on loan at Southampton and then make a decision.

Skipp, tanganga, kwp, Edwards, onomah etc.. I miss the Sherwood days when he was in charge of the youth setup, the players would always get game time on loan. Making the right choice to replace McDermott is probably the most important decision we can make this summer.

If you can't guarantee these young players 15-20 games a season we might as well just loan them out.

I really like KWP especially from his youth days but i do feel that he is just below the level we need.

He would be a very good back up but that's not what he needs so best all round if he moves on for his own career.

The wasted Poch years have had a massive impact on him and I think he will only improve by playing regular football.

He just looks weak, feeble and like a rabbit caught in the headlights nearly every time I've watched him. Even in his 'motm' performances for us it was more that he did well as youth team player in the first team rather than did well in comparison to the rest of the team.

It's a shame because I so want him to do well but unless he significantly bulks up and develops a real aggressive streak I doubt he will ever be good enough to play for us or any other top 6 prem side.

Just had a little look on Saintsweb and their comments remind me a lot of the ones on here.

They can clearly see he has talent, particularly technically, and feel he has put in some strong performances. However, there are also question marks about his height, physicality and tendency to play it safe rather than actually take on his man and put a cross in.

Most of them seem to want to do a deal as there is obvious potential there and he's better than their other options at RB, but there are still plenty of doubts too.

Personally, I think we should be aiming higher as, for all the technical talent in the world, you need a base level of strength and aggression to be a top level fullback and I don't think those are areas in which players tend to improve (or if they do, they've already done it by the time they're his age).

He hopefully will have a decent premiership career but it shouldn't be with us. He is a lower half of the league player at best.

Are they playing Ward Prowse as a RB ahead of KWP? Says that on livescore. Not a good sign if true.

Like the boy.
Needs a minder, Sissoko or Dier or someone to protect him.
What's Denis Waterman like at football?
Has talent and bulking up is not always the answer.
Can kill speed and agility.
I think it's confidence he lacks
as the stakes get higher.

This is gonna upset some people who were so desperate to have their opinion vindicated about KWP
