I get that he was brought in to re-energise or resuscitate this team but I think it's time that we accepted that this team, this squad is done and will not challenge for trophies without significant investment. We were close, it was good while it lasted, but it's time to let it die. Please.

We need to blow this up and rebuild the team in the image of a young, energetic manager. Jose is not the man to head a major rebuild, you cannot argue otherwise. He's only the right man for the job if we can immediately challenge and it's obvious that we can't. Time to go again and hope for better. Accept that this "era" has come to an end, no more denial. Clean slate.

If José didn’t already know, he must now realise this job might be a bigger rebuild than he realised.

No chance Levy buys him a first choice LB, CB and DMC before we even think about RB & ST.

Spursfan77 - Because he's the coach you idiot! He's the 'defensive genius'! Oh wait, he was 10 years ago. His time has passed, like it does for top players, people and tactics surpass you. Wake up and smell the coffee. He will do nothing for Tottenham Hotspur.

But Mourinho's a winner ... he just needs time ... Spurs fans are so entitled ... he may not play good football, but he's all about winning ... we were awful under Poch ... he's taken us all the way up from 14th ... would you rather watch attractive football or win trophies with Jose? ...

.... yawn.

Players not playing for him. Very few that you can hang your hat on. Full backs shocking.

At the moment we need a bit of lift with everything going on. Where is the excitement and entertainment?

As much as I'm not sure just how much Mourinho is helping, the problem has to lay with the team too. This looked so similar to the 3-0 defeat at Brighton under Poch.

I'm really not sure if a different manager can come in and just fix what we have.

If we don't invest well we are in serious danger of falling into real mediocrity. And unfortunately, I have very little faith in us investing well at all. Really grim times to be honest.

Mourinho is going to be the death of our club.

Virtually a fully-fit squad, 3 months of dedicated prep and this is what we get:

- Can't pass
- Can't defend
- Can't create a goal
- Can't take a corner
- Can't take a free kick
- Can't make a right sub (When our players are knackered, he makes 2 out of 5 possible subs. When we're 2-nil down when 10 ins to go and he brings on a CB.)

People said "He needs a pre-season". Well, he's had one and we're still completely outplayed when Sheffield United. He doesn't even look like he gives a shit.

We're stretching Kane's loyalty too far, there's no way he'll put up with this shit. I was willing to give him a chance but we need to cut our losses before we lose Kane and then we're truly fucked.

But can we afford to sack him ?

This. It's just such a shame that we let it all implode rather than taking decisive action when it mattered. We need a new manager and a new team.

Mourinho has been finished at the top level since the second half of 2015 and I’ve said this before

Levy should bite the sour apple and sack him

I feel for him in some ways, he's put trust in Davies, Dier and Sanchez, they have let him down

Is he past it stylistically who knows, doesn’t look good though.

Needs to go if there’s no improvement by the end of the season.

It’s not personal, I like him, but it hasn’t worked so far and isn’t getting any better.

Such a stupid post. How’s it his fault if his players don’t track runners or mark for all three goals ffs.

He has had 12 weeks to work with this squad and come up with a way of playing! Remember he stayed with the other coaches for lock down to work on tactics etc. Nothing has changed since the Burnley game prior to lock down. We are still all over the place in defence, have no midfield and our front four are static and completely unable to break teams down or look remotely like scoring.

Also the worrying thing from that shambolic second half performance is I thought we didn't play too badly in the first half. But what ever went on at half time completely back fired as that was most woeful performance I can remember in a long while.

Jose's big strengths are meant to be motivation and being able to organise teams make them hard to beat. He has not shown one jot that he can do that with us since he took us over.

To make matter worse he has pretty much a full strength team now as well.

What is his record now 1 win in 8 or 9!

Its just not working and he has to go!

Bit of a cliche, but can we afford not to? We're already lost Champions League football. We might even up losing Europa League football. How much does a solid EL run revenue bring in vs his pay off?
